if she lives in the backwoods and took care of her family her whole life, they passed away and she comes to cali to experience life... i can see that. someone said it earlier, you can teach anyone a few things, and how to do it right. hashahahah
Unless they had a learning disability I suppose it would be no different than someone coming here from another country and having to learn English. There would be the learning curve and then go.

what if you move to Europe? On reading that I automatically doubted if I could date someone who couldn't read...... But then I remembered how on the first day I got to Sweden I didn't know how to read. I had to join the library and get children's books and dvds - yet even those were too hard to read Basic day to day functions you take for granted, like reading the mail, newspaper(for jobs for example), transport system.....all of that becomes a challenge. Some of the ladies here who live in a non-English speaking part of Europe may have already seen this play itself out. I did eventually learn the lingo, but yeah - I was as good as illiterate at that stage in Swedish society - which is famous for it's highly educated people. So I won't be so quick to judge.
