Well I'm up to 3 grays now in the same spot. I had only one as of a few months ago, and the barber plucked it against my wishes. I told him 2 would grow back to replace that one...and now that 2 is up to 3. This has now got me thinking about the big 40 which is only a 3 years and 3 months away. Where did the time go mannnn?!?! Well needless to say, I'm going to grow my hair now, while I still can. Thinking about getting a nicely shaped up afro, tapered on the sides. I think that's a good luck. PS - look for my "f*ck you gray hairs" post in the Fuck You thread :smt090
well I am 41 years old, and I was talking to friend recently and said, rather smugly ''with all the stress I go through, I'm surprised I haven't yet found any grey hair! why do you think that is?'', he just gave me a withering look for a few seconds and said ''maybe its because you dye it once a fortnight.....'' haha, he could have a point! yeah, growing old sucks sometimes, but I wouldn't be 20 again for all other different reasons!
yeah i know what you mean, but then again, i know someone in their thirties that is now almost completely grey, and he started in his early 20's! that must be quite hard to deal with.
Oh I have to say there is nothing sexier to me than a shaved head. If you start going bald, get it all off! actually, even if you are capable of having a full head of thick luxurious hair, for me, still shave it all off!! and god yes I know, it doesn't obviously bother him about being grey at that age, but I suppose he has just learnt to accept it. He's a bigger person than I lol, I would freak!!
This is actually the first Summer in YEARS that I'm not going to shave my head. When I do, people that don't know me usually assume I'm bald/balding, when I'm far from it.
Gray hair is definitely the realization that one is getting older. I have yet to find one (I'm only 31 though)...but once I do, this girl will be dying her hair! I'm not ready for gray hair...just the thought of it makes me want to :smt089. Gray hair, then wrinkle cream...I'm just not ready.
I will be 40 in less than 2 years and have been dealing w grays here and there for a while now. I pluck them still, but I'm finding more and more underneath in the back that are difficult to pluck lol...so I'm starting to get used to the idea of them. Not too many now, so it's not often you can see them...once in a while one or two will show. I'm ok w my age...I have 3 beautiful children (one is grown) and I still look and feel good! I am blessed because when you consider the alternative (death, sickness, cancer w no hair from chemo) I mean really....what are a few gray hairs to complain about?! Wrinkles on the other hand...
I think it's absolutely beautiful! My friends say I'm crazy...but it's so elegant. Somebody is a lucky man....
