I had to go back 7 pages to bump this thread. LOL. I finally watched "Melancholia" last night. I had wanted to see it in the theater after all of its critical acclaim, etc. The movie was terrible. It exists strictly for the first 7-8 minutes of slow motion visuals. The movie is visually amazing, but there isn't much plot, nor much dialogue. Basically, the movie is a snore fest. There isn't much of anything to the movie aside from the visuals. And it's over 2 hours long and you feel every single boring minute that goes by.
This movie probably went straight to beta, In Time with Justin "cry me a river" timberlake, is utter crap
Okay, I'm bumping my thread again. I really wanted to see Spring Breakers, because a review I read made it sound like a cool movie. Well, it's not. The movie exists strictly to show college-aged breasts. While it wasn't a total loss (James Franco was AWESOME in it), I would suggest you all wait for Netflix. The story is paper-thin and you can poke holes in the ending like you wouldn't believe. I didn't buy any character motivation they were selling in that movie. I'd give it 1 star and that's strictly for Franco's performance.
Really? That trailer made it look like it might be good, though I wasn't encouraged after reading a review. What was bad about it? And I hate those "free" movies that make you want your money back and realizing you'll never get the time spent on them back, ever again.
I saw "Trance" last weekend. My friend and I left the theater scratching our heads wondering if maybe both of us missed something. I even googled it when I got home trying to see other people talking about it and maybe they had some insight into the movie that both of us just missed, but I couldn't find anything. All I can say is, it's a pretty bad movie. Don't waste your time. Wait for Redbox or Netflix. It's a movie that tries to be Ocean's Eleven and Inception clever and fails miserably. I'm okay with suspending some disbelief when it comes to caper-type movies, but this movie is too unbelievable. One of the major character's motivation is questionable at best but mainly just completely unbelievable. There are too many other instances where there is NO WAY it would work that way.
'Spring Breakers' was pretty fucking awful. I don't know how it has a 6.5/10 rating. It's more like 3/10.
Lol Sorry Killing off Christina Hendricks (Joan from Madmen) so quickly peed me off, she was there then gone.
