I understand why you may feel butt hurt a bit. People do look for shared characteristics, morals and values among people that they identify with. If you aren't feeling an commonality among those you identify with, then a feeling of "butthurtedness" can occur. With that said, I don't think anyone was bullying you. I just don't think tha anyone connected with some of what you said, and moreover, believed some of it, which in turn caused us to question you in a general sense. I read your intial post and then posted, so there wasn't any group think or ganging up on my part. This should tell you something, there is power in numbers, the numbers don't lie, you seem suspect. Most of the active members here are adults and we came to this conclusion.

No that I have wasted some of time, I'll move onto other threads and not be in here anymore...

I was shocked to see the response to solidarm's story. And now I've read half this lengthy and highly redundant thread and don't see that anybody's concurred with him, and that surprises me too. I suppose it surprises me because there was nothing he described that was surprising. I saw so much of that kind of shit, well it was a slight variant for me. Same theme.

Question solidarm, could those fuckers at work possibly be aware that you date WW?

I crossed the line in '69. The next year I was at a liberal hippie college. The boy I loved was the 'only.' I was the 'only' one to go with him -- publicly.
I was broken hearted when he wandered away to go knock over lots of those other girls who wouldn't be seen with him. Once abandoned, I started hearing a lot of racist comments, including the classic "I Know What You're Looking For, a Big Black Cock."

That wouldn't have lastingly traumatized me if I hadn't seen that same sentiment in other people's eyes for years to come. This was Chicago in the 70's and 80's. The climate was horrendous. Even King said it shocked him. Virtually EVERY time you'd be in an all-white setting the racism vocalized was defeaning. That's what passed for small talk in those days, somebody'd drag out a nigger joke, which was then an incredibly viral art form, and if you didn't laugh, the whole group, even the ones who never told the jokes, would distance themselves from you. And let the word get out that somebody saw you with one of them? Time to get out the want ads for a new job. I got REAL good at job hunting. And every new one paid me more. I laughed all the way to the bank.

But the worst was always from the people you trusted, that you depended on and thought were 'liberal.' Yeah, being slobbered on and panted on by that boss with the big break job that was going to change your life a few minutes after he finds out who you're fucking, I mean, sweet on. Sure did change my life. That was way worse than getting chased by the rednecks with the tire irons for 'fucking with a nigger.'

So, was I delusional thinking every time somebody cut their eyes at me it felt like they were looking up my skirt and whispering obscenities? And that would happen daily if on that day I was out in public with my honey.

The WWBM taboo cuts to the core of America. You can't objectify people and make slaves of them if there's an adorable little biracial baby suckling at your daughter's breast. Can't do it, can't even use that as an excuse for not voting for him if he decides to run for President. So, there goes the cash crop and the Birth of a Nation.

But they could stop hauling us into court as whores once that taboo kicked in, and it was all focussed around this sexual bestiality thing.

Maybe some of you all are just in a kinder and gentler America (or believe you are) where you can not think about any of that, but there's no way in hell it could have been that bad just a generation ago, and now it's all sweetness and light.

White people are way obsessed with this racial genitalia thing. That's what's huge.

So if the word's out that Solid Arm's fucking, I mean, dating white women, and it's just one of those little, harried clusters that's still whipping out the colored jokes once he's out the room, you can bet what they're obsessed with. He's not delusional at all.

Would he be better off if he were ignoring it, oblivious to it? I say, beware subliminal brainwashing. You know, if I'd stayed in Chicago and not let those fuckers looking up my skirt get the best of me because I was blowing it off, ignoring it, I would have known the Obamas. Maybe if I'd been able to acknowledge and communicate what I was going through to the people in that circle who had befriended me, I wouldn't have lost that part of my life.

Rep coming Karras for the context in your post.

First off, I love what you wrote simply because of the fact there are some naive people on this board who think this country was LESS racist in the 60's/70's which blows my mind. I think it's this cultural myth that's been perpetuated by pop culture and the music from that era You see so much racial mixing presented in media from that time, except people today don't understand that was the exception and not commonplace.

Back to the OP, his story went into the ditch once he pointed out that virtually all the WM at his workplace deliberately or subconsciously were looking at his crotch.:smt087

I've just never experienced that from straight men. I'm real aware when women sneak a look sometimes, but men in a professional setting, if you aren't noticeably bulging out under your zipper, don't check out other straight guy's dingalings like that.
