Study: Men don't grow up until age 43 Average age is 11 years later than most women, new research says A new study says men don't "grow up" until age 43 -- a full 11 years after women do. And both men and women agree that's the case, according to the research commissioned by Nickelodeon UK to mark the launch of its new show "Wendell & Vinnie." Study participants of both sexes said they believe women reach maturity much earlier than men -- age 32 to be exact. Women were also twice as likely to feel like they were the "grown up" in their current relationship, and a quarter of women surveyed claimed they made all the important decisions in the relationship, The Daily Record reported. Thirty percent of women said they had ended a relationship over their male partner's immaturity. And a whopping 46 percent of women reported relationships in which they had to mother their male partner a bit too much, The Telegraph reported. But immaturity isn't all bad. Four in 10 people surveyed said it can keep things fresh and ensure the relationship stays fun. LOL, when I read this the other day, I chuckled. I remember thinking that some women over 32 also do some of the things listed too. Also, many men I know from young know how to cook and some actually enjoy it. Surveys are so slanted.

Don't think I will ever completely quit playing video games during the winter. It is a healthy pass time, it saves money, and movies are just as fake. Nothing wrong with a little imagination. I even thought about becoming a game designer.

i think a certan level of maturity and wisedom for men comes faster if they are around a father or fatherlike models
the list of acts that are considered immature if full of BS. for example...it states beating kids at games is a sign of immaturity. really ...????? no its not.
Very few of these characteristics mean 'immaturity' per se, as much as they mean someone who enjoys certain activities that art attributed to young people. The rest of them sound more like an attempt to categorize anything a guy does that a woman doesn't like as 'immature'. The ones that most fit the definition to me include: 4.Driving too fast or 'racing' another car at the lights or on the highway 8.Trying to beat children at games and sport 10.Not being able to cook simple meals 13.Hating books/reading because of short attention span/they're boring 15.Mom still doing their washing 16.Having their mom still make them breakfast/any meal
The saying goes that women are more mature than men. I believe this is because girls generally date guys that are older than they are. The saying should state that girls are more mature than guys their own age. Those girls simply have more offers for social interactions. They get the invites. They've had much more practice and experience in social situations than most guys their own age. This grants them access to environments and situations (basically social worlds) that most young guys don't get to experience until years later (11 years later according to this study). If a young boy grew up in the presence of women being exposed to social settings with girls his own age (while also having strong male mentorship), he would be just as “mature” as that girl. They mature faster because they are put into “real life” sooner. Real life in this sense being adult situations. Just my opinion.
