Cut and color!! I was feeling that way about 2 months ago...so I went DARK with red highlights (totally the opposite of what I should've done considering it's summer time...but I've always been a bit of a rebel lol). A different cut and a color change will bring you right out of that rut love!
Your colour sounds amazeballs!! Ive gone darker for the cooler months so my hair can recover from the blonde and the sun. I need a new cut but don't know how or what. My hair is always up because of my work so was thinking of cutting it all off again like below It's the growing out I hate
"Darker for the cooler months"...that's what normal people do! I, on the other hand, went darker for summer! Although at my appt next month I think I'm going to stay with the dark but put in blond highlights (the red grows out super quick!). That cut is SO stinkin adorable on you!!! The length in that pic looks great on you, and I agree that you pull off any color well. I look forward to seeing whatever you decide to do to it. Growing out is a pain though...I used to have bangs, and it took forever for them to grow out. I also have to wear my hair up for both jobs...I do get tired of messing with it, but I can't bring myself to cut it short again. I did have four inches cut off recently (it was almost down to my waist), and it has helped with the hassle. The four inches made a big difference though since it's not so heavy, and when it dries it shrinks up to bra-band level. I haven't colored it in years though, but I like my natural color. I know I'm biased, but dark curls would be an awesome choice. The short cut with some curl or waviness would look great.
Going back to Va from Australia would be too much of a tough pill to swallow. Its going to be hard enough to leave southern cali to return to that shit hole.
