Who you date has no real impact on your maturity. And if the gap is eleven years like you suggested its usually a girl having an older man pay for a lot of her entertainment and meals. How does becoming dependent make someone mature?
I think women mature physically quicker than men and are more likely to follow societal rules but it doesn't make them any more mentally mature.
