I have always been edgy about computer security after my laptop was stolen in midtown. So I keep almost nothing sensitive on it.

 

You do realize that these HD and RAID systems are monitored all the time by computers and people, right?
They aren't HD and SsDs siting in some pea brains computer just waiting to fail.

and they can all fail just. I'm one of those people who monitor them and install computers that monitor them. I have seen them fail. I'm just pointing out that they are no safe on the cloud than they are on your local ssd or HDD unless you don't know what you are doing. You steal lose security. that's all.

 

If it is offline, then they can't get to it. The government would require a search warrant to get in your house. With the cloud, no warrant needed just an agreement between big business and big government.

The statute of limitations stuff is usually pretty straightforward and is included in the section of the state code governing the crime/offense in question. We should be able to find something.
