What's up, random conversation people?

 

Miami, New Orleans, and pretty much all cities that are below sea level may need to take extra precaution. In a few decades, these cities will cease to be. And why is that? Looking at Miami's situation and the continued oceans continuing to rise, we may no longer have a South Florida. This is all due to climate change and we have no one to blame, but ourselves. But even with efforts to lessen the inevitable, it'll still come to us soon enough.

It's a damn shame when we politicize something as factual as climate change and people are too quick to dismiss something as critical as this.

At first I thought maybe it was just an object, an optical illusion...then thought maybe it was a small person sitting on a small platform...but where is the pole/legs for the platform? Outside of the cane...

If I may offer my analysis.......What you see is a carefully crafted optical illusion.
What you see is not as it appears..... My guess is that this prodigy of a homeless, legless grim reaper is actually a creation with a cleverly concealed weight balance trick.
--80% of the weight of the figure is in the floor base plate probably solid
metal but covered with plastic

-- What appears to be a flimsy wooden shaft probably has a high gauge
metal pole at is core welded rigidly to that metal base plate.

-- The head, shoulders and body of the Reaper concealed with padding and
clothing is probably supported by a network of light-weight metal framing
rigidly welded to the metal in the wooden posts.

-- What appears to be bulges in the torso is probably some light weight
plastic material of minimal weight.
