Just some work-related horseshit that keeps popping up much more than it should. There's definitely some shit in the air lol. Thanks! :freehug:
As I tell all the smart folks in this life willing to listen....Be measured and patient with frustrations at work......Always air on the side of quick resolution so you can get right back to showing that you are productive and worth your salt.......There is nothing like waking your ass up every morning to face and live in miserable world of the unemployed...........
Fuck you, winter! Leave already. No one wants you around anymore! And I'm so fucking tired of my chapped hands. No amount of lotion in the world can save my hands from this fucking winter. My hands have been chapped and cracked and bleeding and hurting for MONTHS. I want humidity! I can't take this anymore. /the end
Fuck you, work. Fuck you for allowing a dickhead asshole to preferentially treat new hires while you fuck over a group of people that has worked for you for 7-9 years. You fucked us twice. So much for corporate 'growing talent'. Our group have accomplished about 100% more than our colleagues in other therapeutic areas, and that is based on pure statistics, not conjecture. And still we get fucked. Theybget rolled over to this new position nicely... Because someone has an agenda. I'm so demoralized its not even funny. Our whole group is livid with the second fuckover in a few months. People I have not seen ever react to anything in 8 years are livid. Can I have my green card now so I can leave?
Bracing for snow Monday. But at least we will genuinely appreciate the spring and summer when it does arrive.
Leave where? You better stay your ass here, your field is booming there are places that will definitely show you the respect you deserve
I meant leave my employer. Lol. My ass ain't going nowhere. Thanks hun. Much appreciated!!. Just frustrated and demoralized about what my company is doing.
I thought that by getting work in the US, you'd have the green card, period... and that after 5 years you could apply for permanent residency? Maybe it depends on where you're from, the field or whatnot? I'm itching to get back to the US lol. Hope that work starts to treat you and other workers better soon, sounds like y'all deserve better treatment. And if not, hang in there... the green card's worth it. :freehug::freehug:
fuck you cheap coca cola glass, for cutting my hand badly and making me one hand less for this weekend.. :smt071
Nope, you don't get a green card automatically just because you get a job here. You have to apply for it and your company you work for has to be willing to sponsor you and it is a complicated process. You can applybfornit yourself but it is not to recommend as its a very complicated story, and expensive. There are many different green cards and the higher education the easier it is. I am in the highest bucket, O-1 and it is still no walk in the park. Where you are from does count, but being from Sweden makes it a lot easier in some categories, but not in mine, its based on 'extraordinary skills', such as doctors and athletes so where you come from doesn't matter, as its based on a desirable skill considered being in high need in the US. Still a pain in the ass process. Jus was in Philly for our first meeting with the whole new team and all us originals walked away with a very bad taste in our mouths, we are getting very screwed over. Oh well, have to make it work until I get the green card. Thank you for then hugs Nikk, I needed those
FG...did your company get purchased or merge with another company? if so, feel your pain...there never seems to be anything fair when you work for the company being purchased:freehug:
No but they did a reorg on our department where my position was changed and anyone without a terminal degree got 'displaced'. It was originally eliminated last September so someone took my team (oncology) of 6 people and moved us to another department. Then right after that happened, they formed a new similar group in my old department, and hired 20 new people on very nice salaries... And took our job description.... So it was decided to merge us 6 into that new group. Its a promotion, but we did not get their salaries as there is a cap on how big a pay increase you can get so we ended up with much less in pay than the new hires. Essentially I got a fancy title, but really no pay increase. So the guy I'm now sharing territory with, have much less experience than me, got the better part of then territory and about 20k more than me
Totally! Typical corporate bs. The time when companies took care of their employers are long gone... To top that off, I think I broke my foot! Ha!
if they gave you new titles then they should be able to paygrade jump you...the whole scenario stinks!
