Intellectual snobbery is so not sexy

 

I agree Petty, but I have a tough time reading some of the slang in texts or emails. It's just frustrating. I don't think of it as snobbery - I just like clear communication For example: Why is there no recent pics of your shirtless fabulous self?

How is that hard to read? If I(a guy who had to learn two langauges when growing up) can read that, surely a person who only had one language to learn can read that.

The only good reason towards not typing like that is because the words are often recommended on your phone. It is faster to pick the words in one click than to type it out in text language.

 

To each their own. For me, that's not attractive at all and it's a pain to decipher.

 

Typing like that is an complete turn off to me and broadcasts you are proud to be uneducated.... I've never met a smart person who typed like that.

 

oops ... and this is the point where you will learn to understand that being lazy to type can come back to you the hard way.

 

Technology is wonderful in and of itself. However, it has made us a bit complacent. Don't get me wrong, technology has its place. If I could, I would use technology after establishing a relationship in the flesh. I remember those days when a handwritten letter was cherished. You looked forward to going to the mailbox. It was a special thing.

Man I still do! My blonde cougar sent me an wonderful Christmas card with an hand written message which I hold dear to me.

 

i love opening my mailbox to find a handwritten letter or card. i love talking to someone much more, too, then receiving text messages.

but i guess in times where e-mail adresses, what´s app, etc and video calls are taking over, there is not much room anymore. online dating does not seem to care about meeting in person or to have late night conversations on the phone.
it seems to be more about connecting without leaving the house. giving the dating side a personal touch is up to what happens after. i think.
