Sorry about the wayward rock, Whiks. It's always some damned thing that comes up to keep us from getting what we want.

I've been wanting a new bike as well. My old one looked a lot like the one in that pic except it was teal & had no basket. I was injured at work way back when and couldn't ride it for a while, but when I could ride again, I found that my son & his little shit friends had left it behind the garage instead of in it & it had turned into a pile of rust with a busted chain.

Oh please Saty, there was a time when you yourself didn't use much words.
You used to post a pic instead (usually something to express sarcasm).
So what's really the problem? ;)

Why do women dress provocatively - boobs in your face - and then be offended when guys stare at them? I will never understand that.

The age old question. If you find out, let us guys know would ya?

Black men stop selling the myth that the breeding of strong slaves explains why some of us (a very small number) are more athletic or muscular. It's not true and makes your dumbass sound even dumber.

There may be a viable explanation in terms of the relative testosterone levels between groups, but don't even go there without peer reviewed evidence.

    How would you explain it?

Not sure why you motherfuckers keep humoring this ladyluck bitch, who's probably a dude that stole pics from some unsuspecting chick's instagram account.

Thirst and stupidity are the key variables at the heart of this math problem.

    I wouldn't, not a population geneticist.

Because I actually think there is some truth to it. I'm also not a geneticist but there is something peculiar about blacks being such dominate athletes in every sport we enter into. Mma, football, basketball, boxing, track and field, which are all pretty cheap sports to get into. The more expensive sports like ice hockey and gymnastics don't have too many of us but it probably has more to do with cost than anything else. The unifying correlation seems to be a recent history of slavery. Maybe several centuries of hard manual labor does something to our genes and we pass them on?

I think it has absolutely zero to do with slavery and hard labor. If we were such genetically superior hardcore physical specimens, there wouldn't be so many of us with sickle cell anemia, high blood pressure, weight problems, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. The only thing that slavery and hard labor have done is create a racial subgroup of people who have been artificially and unjustly suppressed for generations, who have skill, intellect and determination to spare, who are itching to prove themselves and are channelling all that pent-up striving into the outlet most accessible to them. That same drive can make you a star athlete, or a nuclear physicist, if you are given the opportunity and the support.

I think the weight problems, diabetes, and other diseases are by product of poor diets and environmental factors so in spite of all those things stacked against us as a group we still excel physically. I agree the capability to excel mentally is there as well but basic physical biology can't be denied. We as a group tend to be taller and more muscular. It's not true of every single black person of course but I do notice a higher degree of physical specimens like Usain Bolt, Michael Jordon, King Kai, Bo Jackson, Mike Tyson, Jackie Joyner Kersie, Layla Allie, Cheryl Swoops, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones. These people stand head and shoulders above their competition. Name me a player of any other race who comes close to being a Lebron James or Jordan in his prime, name me an athlete of another race who comes close to being a Michael Johnson or an Usain Bolt. You think their competitors just sit back and don't train as hard. You think they don't have the same technology and drugs available to them, we see per Lance Armstrong that if its available any athlete will most likely take it. So there is something to be said about dna structure over centuries of physical hardship.

I agree that diet/environment shapes our health problems, but if we were genetically programmed for athletic prowess, poor diet would be insufficient to suppress external expression of our essential traits.

Long-term species-wide (or sub-species, because we're homosexual sapiens after all, not mutants) genetic change does not happen in a couple centuries. Not even a couple of millennia. Environment most definitely plays a role, but not as a genetic mutation catalyst in the short run. Those athletes you named excel because that is where all of their energies are channeled. Opportunity, drive, dedication, repetition, training and more are all factors. Throw in intense poverty and oppression (not all black athletes are from impoverished backgrounds, but many are) that can make a person existentially hungry to achieve beyond the norm and you have a potent mixture. Ever notice that the best white athletes are also either groomed their entire lives or come from conditions that are also tough? Best white fighters? Mostly Slavs and poor rural whites from North America. Best white football players? Many are white country kids raised their entire lives on football. I think it's nurture, not nature. We are products of our environment, but individually, not genetically.

Now if this was the case over 50,000 years and all male and female athletes interbred, I might agree.

Well I don't know what the threshold is so poor diet might not have an effect up to a point, I'm not a geneticist or a nutritional biologist.
I agree poverty provides the drive that a lot of these dudes have by why does the poverty in one area provide a Lebron James but you don't see his counter part in any other race. He is literally a man amongst boys on the court, I have never in my life seen a dominate player of any other race in basketball, I grew up watching it and playing and while you can't deny the amazing talent of a Larry Bird, a Chris Mullen, Steve Kerr, Steve Nash, John Stockton or even a Jason Williams they weren't shit in comparison to Magic, Jordan, Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, or Kobe Bryant. I can give you a list in boxing too, football, track and field. We are a very small minority numbers wise there are more Hispanics and whites out there why are we not seeing these other groups be within the same competing range let alone dominating the sports we play with them (with the exception of football in some cases)
It has to come from somewhere, a kid in rural Indiana is just as dirty poor as a kid in Brooklyn. They both can put a milk carton on a pole and get a cheap ten dollar basketball and practice. Why is only one area producing Ray Allens and Stephon Mauburys why is only area producing Mike Tysons. If poverty is the driving force why does one group seem to be a lot more driven by it. Again not just to compete but to fucking dominate like a plague in every sport we as a group choose to love. We loved boxing we dominated that shit, we loved baseball we dominated that shit, we loved basketball we dominated that shit. Its really hard to ignore that.

You answered the question for me, right here, fam. I would counter that you don't see the kind of suffering we face among any other group, hence the relative dominance. The only group that has lower socioeconomic indicators than African-Americans across the board in this country are Native Americans, who have been unjustly brutalized and robbed of their land and herded into concentration camps/reservations where they are barely a part of the national conversation or culture. As for Lebron, he dominates not only whites in the sport, but everyone else as well, black, blue, brown or purple.

And, many of the dominant whites in these endeavors are relatively poorer as well, but perhaps not as disadvantaged as blacks. Sort of gets back to my idea about Eastern Bloc white athletes. Difficult conditions, lack of resources and an almost iron will to succeed. Anyone looked at the likely next president of Ukraine? Talk about sheer will. The harsher the conditions, the fiercer the survivor that is forged from it.

Fam but if what you're saying is true then why is Joe Redheart of the Nesbeth Tribe dominating swimming or football or some other sport. It can't simply be poverty. Even in MO there are whites suffering just as harshly as blacks and they aren't producing these monster dominate athletes. And lets forget Lebron since he dominates everyone what about dudes like Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter these natural incredible athletes who are described as lazy but stood out amongst their peers. And what sports are these Eastern Bloc athletes doing? Gymnastics? Show me how many black kids are doing gymnastics. Now take a sport like simply running, every person with an able body can run, now tell me why most of the records from the 100m to the relay are dominated by people who were enslaved over the last three or four centuries. There has to be a commonality there. Do whites and Asians simply dismiss running as a sport? That can't be true because I went to the Penn Relays as a teenager it was very mixed yet damn near every event was won by a black kid.
If poverty were the only indicator as well as hard work then no one and I mean no one should be beating the Koreans and Chinese where there governments punish them for losing. Talk about motivation.

'Joe Redheart' (lol) would be playing probably if conditions in the Native American community and on reservations weren't so completely ground down. There used to be some major Native American athletes in the old days (and I do mean 'old'). The Eastern bloc athletes are in basketball (I think there are more ex-Yugoslavian and Turkish ballplayers than white Americans), boxing (Vladimir & Vitaly, anyone?) as well as gymnastics, hockey, soccer, etc. Soccer allows for some good comparisons, b/c it's one of the truly global sports, so you have a broad sampling to measure interracial performance.

On your running example, it's dominated (at least distance running is), not by formerly enslaved African-Americans, but by never enslaved, high-altitude training Kenyans, Algerians and Ethiopians, who are small, slight and fleet of foot. But they are still African, though. Lol

As for those East Asian societies, I think it's just a matter of time. And, in all fairness, let's not forget that there is a certain amount of cultural capital that we ("we", as if you and I are doing any high-dollar hooping, lol) bring to the game, particularly sports that black athletes have placed a major imprint. I'm not denying the dominance, just doubting race-driven genetic dominance, thinking instead that it's environmentally-determined dominance.

What I would give to dunk on a regulation rim just once lol
Good point on the Kenyans and Ethiopians, but then I have to wonder how many blacks are interested in that here. We don't seem to give cultural advantages for being good at that here. And to be fair if soccer were as popular and profitable as football or basketball guess how many more of us would be playing soccer. It comes down to money in a lot of cases, young boys dreaming of buying their mother a house and getting her out of poverty. And to that point I think all poor kids have the same exact dream I just don't get why one group seems to be better at it. Hell take baseball for example they're flying to DR to get those boys to play bypassing a shit ton of poor white kids in the US and all around the globe. The Japanese love baseball more than we do but I can think of maybe four good Japanese players in the last few years opposed to like 80 Dominican ones. Why is that?
I don't know soccer well enough to compare but I'm willing to research it, its just that certain things stand out to me. Even dudes in the eastern bloc aren't that impressive when these dudes of slave decent step in the game. Remember Fador, every person use to fear that dude but he would never go to the UFC. Look at who the big hitters usually are? Jon Jones Anderson Silva and UFC is still in its infancy I can't wait till they're getting 20m fight purses then you'll the dominance and shift boxing took when everyone from Joe Lewis to George Foreman to Ali to Tyson were dominating the fuck out of the sport. Other groups can fight very well, but I've never seen a non white person knocking mofos out in the first and second round like Tyson or Holyfield. Now I gotta really research this shit lol

And btw not to make light of Native American plight in this country but they are no worst off than people in third world countries like Jamaica that produce an Usain Bolt or rural China that produce a Yao Ming.
