I love this, except when they woke me up at the crack of dawn along with that feral peacock that rummaged around the neighborhood.
Lol...sounds painful!!! My chooks are ex battery hens, so their laying time is all over the place.thus far, they've only being laying in the afternoon
This is so awesome! When I was house-sitting in Alice Springs last year, we looked after the neighbour's chooks in our yard.. omg, I fell in love! I can't wait til I can have chickens of my own! And even better that they're ex-battery  Orejon, it means they used to be caged hens, for the egg industry... stuck in a tiny box, unable to move. Now they're freeeeeeee!
Always good to see more chicken folks! We have Bantam silkies, great egg layers and most importantly they are FANTASTIC natural scorpion control, very important here in Arizona. Before we got the chickens I saw probably 5-7 scorpions a week in and around our barn area, since we got them I have not seen 1 in about 6 years now.
I had no idea there were pest control benefits, I just thought you got eggs and a free alarm clock, lol.
This^^^^^ And those long deep sweet soul kisses that seem to last forever.... with someone who really knows how to do it!
Sending a good night text to someone you miss, and getting a reply seconds after. (I don't usually care about response time with texting, but it is a nice feeling to get a response right away from that special someone before bed).
the same butterfly visits my garden every morning as i sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea...he only likes certain flowers...stops for just a short minute and then moves on to my neighbors garden...
I appreciate the quiet stillness of morning so much especially living in the city...the line of birds to the birdbath humors...if you don't have a birdbath you have to get one...
 Love the sound of birds in the morning...so soothing. The birds in my backyard start early as hell though (like =/<5am lol)...big man doesn't enjoy it as much as I do lol...he used to try and shut the window but I'd give him the :smt009 face and he'd laugh and come back to bed :smt080 I love listening to those sweet little chirps
My babies falling asleep in my arms. From when they were newborns to them now at 9 and 6...it just never gets old. Those sweet faces are my reason for being
