Had the weirdest Convo the other day.

Changed my LinkedIn profile because I have a title change in my job. And a former colleague congratulated me. He used to be a technician in my lab at MD Anderson Cancer center in 2003-2005. A young guy, about 20' years younger than me. To be specific ai know some will ask. No hanky panky or even close to it.

It was a catch up convo...congrats, thanks, what are you doing? Etc. About 2 exchanges and then withing 20 minutes I get " this is xxx, yyy's husband, and I think this is extremely offensive and insulting. Xxx reached out to you but he is married and this is insulting. Do not respond to this email and never contact my husband again ".
Wtf. All on this guys LinkedIn profile.

There was nothing other than 'how do you do catch up' in the 2 exchanges. I had a few choice responses but out of respect to a former colleague, that has to deal with an apparently off marriage, I left it as that. Poor fellow.

 

Someone has major trust issues! Or he's naughty and she knows it. Sorry to here that babes.

I guess she either has it from the passed or my former colleague caused it. The fact that she has access to even his LinkedIn make me suspect the later, he was a ladies man and a frat boy when I knew him. I was sort of offended at first but got over it. Not my problem. Just wtf.

The convo went:
-congratulations to your new job, what does it mean?
-no real change in duties, I see you are a director also, what do you do now?
-no change, I'm going to phoenix the 15th and 16th for business. Trying to stay out of trouble. Lol.

Edit, in didn't say 'your neighborhood, I said his home location, which is a 2h flight from phoenix
