It's funny to use when you want to confuse the hell out of people who aren't familiar with it. But in general? I wouldn't even give it a pet name to my girlfriend. That's just...nutters.
All I know was that I was calling folks snow bunnies on here a few years back and they were giving me hell...it is all good though
What you are saying is true. Most white folks are proud to call themselves "crackers". The term derived from the whips a type of cowboy used back in the day. I hear them say it all the time, "yeah my grandfather was a Florida cracker, I am Floridian born and raised" And I believe that Black folks call white folks certain terms not out of racist thoughts but out of a distrusting frustrated suppressed resentment for the people who have created the situation.
It's funny. My older brother told me of the Snowbirds. I immediately mentioned the Royal Canadian Air Force's own precision flight team similar to the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force's Thunderbirds. He didn't know about the Snowbirds flight team. But he explained that the Snowbirds were Canadians on their annual vacations in South Florida(or any place with a warm climate). God, how I miss the snow.
Sounds like some unsophisticated bama shit but then again 95% of the men on this site fit the category.
There is a hotel/condo resort in Pompano Beach on A-1-A that flies the Canadian Maple Leaf flag(it is two buildings; one is on the east right on the beach and the other is on the west side across the street). I worked security there and had to do a perimeter check of both properties one night. It and many others are pretty much open for the Canadians when they come. I even met a few Canadian lesbians(butch and femme) at another condo resort. I think there are some that offer discounts to Canadians. Check it out.
