The intergrated approach seems like the only feasible way to address this. I find that the masses don't like gender specific laws just like they don't like race specific laws. It lends to treating people like others ie not the mainstream.

Lots of us have been trying g to say this for literally years but it always become weird. It hurst my heart that women struggles become so trivialized on here by many men. Its like some men on here seem to think it takes away from the bm struggle somehow. It's two different struggles, not to be compared, for obvious reasons.
I think the vast majority of the women on here has shown that again and again, but seldom get a compassionate response in turn when women issues are adressed.
I think no women on here is not aware of White privilege and the outrageous suffering ofnythe black community as a whole, and yet, we women get dismissed more often than not when we voice women struggles.

I don't think any regular women poster on here is trying to compare our struggles with the bm struggles, its an entirely different issue, and not comparable in NY way, shape, or form; but it should not be dismissed as much as it gets on here. After all, this is a site for bm and ww and I agree with Tam, that seems to be forgotten at times. The one reason I take breaks from here. And yes, I'm being repetitive on purpose, because unfortunately its needed.

When some men complain that not more women are adding to some discussions this is the exact reason they don't. It usually ends up with ' us and them' type response so damn if we do, damn if we don't.

I wish this place was more equally supportive at times, its a long time since it was.
Most of the time I dont care, because men I meet in real life dont act like many men on here.

On another note, my mother was here in the US for three weeks, with travel for work in Orlando And Denver, she came along and I got some vacation in with her at Colorado with stuff in Georgetown CO and surroundings including horse back rides. I wanted to spend more one on one time with her as I have not seen her in 2 years.

My half sisters boyfriend is landing tomorrow pm to stay with me. He is applying for a Swedish companion visa, he is american. He moved there (sweden) in January and they did not check what is needed, and apparently, he needs to apply outside the US. Timelines are a minimum of 2 months so this will be fun to have stranger living in my house.

I am also applying for jobs in my company in Europe so keep your prayers and thoughts with me that I succeed.

OK i am too lazy to read through allthe drama but all i gotta say is unless you are in the shoes of someone you cannot dismiss their concerns with a wave of the hand. Black men have issues and White women too have issues, the problem crops up when people start equating issues when they shouldnt. If an issue concerning black men crop up, do NOT bring up issues concerning a white women in that thread cus it would seem like you are trying to equate and in the same vein if women are having issues Black men should NOT dismiss it by saying blacks got it worse.
