It's not all that weird an idea, because it actually makes sense. The difficult part is being in the mood to do it when you're in pain. Definitely worth a try though. Thanks, Stizzy.
Great ideas, thanks. I'd forgotten about neti pots; I've heard a lot of good things about them though. I defintely prefer the natural route if possible. I don't like how the meds affect me; I seem to be super sensitive to a lot of them.
Nice hot steamy shower and eucalyptus...not only does it loosen everything up but you will be able to breathe again...if possible go lay down for a 20 minute nap...headache gone!
Tam, please don't use tap water with Neti pots, only distilled. WASH thoroughly as bacteria gets into it, as well as the water. Reason is, you can catch a brain-eating amoeba called Naegleria fowleri. While rare, it has claimed several hundred lives.
Thanks, Lippy. Sounds awesome. Thanks, Bliss, but no worries. I'd be afraid to trust tap water for something like that. I'm especially leery of the local water supply; I don't drink it or cook with it either.
So you too? That's cool. I might use it to boil pasta since boiling it makes it safer, but l cant ever drink water from the tap (unless it's filtered).
I have these shower sprays in peppermint , eucalyptus and lavender ...just spritz them into the steam ...peppermint wakes me up...lavender calms me...eucalyptus is great for congestion or when you aren't feeling well
Here is some random conversation... I seriously cannot wait for these two movies: These look so freaking funny....
Hilarious...can't go wrong with two of those guys!! Speaking of funny movies, we watched 22 jumpstreet again last night. I swear I laughed the entire length of that movie :smt043
I saw that movie in the theater again yesterday...after halftime of the Bears game. Love it!! I can't wait for mid-November for the Blu-Ray release.
