I disagree. If they don't see eye to eye with you on how bm are viewed/treated/MIStreated then how much can they honestly love you? It's not a small issue and I think it's something that two people have to be on the same page with for a lasting relationship. Kind of like any other big things in life...how you raise your kids, your morals, what you value in life...this too should be one of those make or break topics for bm dating interracially. Hell it's make or break for me and I'm white lol.

Th short answer would be "yes" lol. On the other hand I could never be with someone who was extremely right-wing anyway. It makes interracial dating in the south pretty interesting at times.

Rep added. I don't see how someone who doesn't understand fundamental racial injustice concepts would even engage in interracial relationships. I could be wrong, but I've never encountered/dated that type of person.

oh...fundamentally if they dont get that then theres a problem....but on every issue. shoot blacks dont agree on every issue. i give u an example....during the 60s there were difffering views on how to approach racism. malcom versus martin.

more on something closer to home...he may view what a person may do as stereotyping, racists or whatever and she may see it differently or she may see it and may differ in how to deal with it.

Sometimes these things aren't apparent until events like this happen. You meet someone, things are progressing well, you're having a blast being with your vanilla goddess. She could be "that girl." Then, something like OJ, Trayvon, Ferguson or Garner happens and it all comes to the fore.

I've been lucky so far. When I first meet someone I try to figure out where her head is at politically before things get further than that. I normally avoid the hardcore tea party types but at the same time, I live in Georgia so those beliefs are everywhere.

My girlfriend is an diehard Fox news fan and love, love, loves Bill O' Reilly. Her political stance and views on black problems makes our relationship all the more interesting.
