Attraction - based on conditioning. Education/Career/Money - again assumptions. followed closely by Societal expectations and pressure to conform.

I went to Purchase College for undergrad aka the East coast Berkley and even on that bastion of liberalism most of the kids were getting high and just fucking. There was some activism but nothing like in Dear White People
I was more ok with that film because it covered other important things like campus rape and the isolation felt during freshman year. It was far more real to me.
Good point. I guess that was a large part of Rappaport's character's move toward racism. He had no one else who accepted him.
