people hope for that big pay day. they want that nice home and a fat bank acct. they are paying him for that hope.
Churches/ministries are tax-exempt entities. I see a lot of these so-called pastors try to get in on the action because of this very fact. If these churches/ministries have a large enough congregation, they can make a lot of money. And to someone outside of that, it is a bit tempting. Money and seeing single women in these places. I worked for a ministry for 5 years and I had seen almost everything there.
