I am completely against a dinner date for a first date altogether In rather do a afternoon coffee date, to check out if there is any chemistry For dinner dates, I prefer to split the bill to take out any confusion or assumptions unless the guy really, really insists
I heard they have a 24 hour wristband thing for some of the hotels/buffets in Vegas now. Did you get in on that?
What you are describing to me isn't a date. It's more a meet and greet. To me, a first date is someone you have met and you know you are interested in.
Thank you. I think so, too. Had this been a date and things were going well, I probably would've suggested we go somewhere for dessert - my treat. (And he would've gotten MAJOR points if he paid anyway. Lol.)
For me, lunch is always a good compromise. It's usually cheaper than dinner and it doesn't have the same romantic overtones that eating at night does. Plus there's not as much pressure to make it drag on longer than it has to but extending it can always be an option, especially if it's the weekend. The only buffet that I really ate at was for breakfast. For everything else we stuck to restaurants.
I think its a date. Its not about what you do, the concept of a first date is still the same, feel each other out I agree with that And this
Spoken like a G There are tons of activities to do on a "date" and there are more than aren't so demanding physically. It certainly doesn't have to be expensive to be memorable.
1st link just leads to their website http://www.myfoxorlando.com/story/28196793/single-men-in-dc-spend-an-average-of-177-on-first-date I don't think they really did a survey, they probably made it up to draw in new members to their websites.
This is very true. A bit of creativity can go a long way, and it can be a lot more thoughtful than the typical dinner thing.
I prefer an activity to eating on the first few dates...if it goes well maybe share a desert and coffee at night at a local cafe...dinner is too much pressure and when the guy pays he usually wants more:|

See? I may not like the Golden Arches but I can have a good time at a nice place with good food and not cost a guy a small fortune.
Obviously you're not a South Florida woman then.lol.As I told people in a facebook group before, being single is expensive.
