I watched the lifetime movie depicting the story a few weeks ago and it's extremely sad I can't imagine the details that are contained within her biography but the story is so. I cannot fathom the hell these young women endured daily for ten years.

It's just weird because when I look at other hated groups it usually stems from shit like perceived threats like Muslims being terrorists and the fear they may do a suicide bombing, with Jews its the perception they are greedy and hoard money, but with blacks its just the mere existence of our being that illicits so much hate. No history of wrong doing, in fact we were the ones who were wronged, shit the Native Americans were wronged but no vitriol hatred at least not in the same way to my knowledge.
I know hate is irrational but it still boggles the mind.

 

There's less hate against Native Americans because they were damned near eradicated as a people. An engineer I know from South Dakota says they are reviled up there. It just blows my mind when I think about it. Steal two continents worth of land and 400 years of labor and the people who have been wronged are the villains? Unreal.
