FG, every time I shut off my computer, I run these programs beforehand. I've managed to keep my laptop running well for 4 yrs (minus a memory issue and a program locking up)...

Just in case anyone else views this thread. I would recommend Avast also, I put it on all my customers PC's who want it. Malewarebytes is a really good spyware program.

What in the world would cause my Microsoft Word to stop working. I can only open up documents but it won't let me edit them. It tells me they are locked and I need to re-enter my pin.

I hate Avast-it brought a conflict to my PC some time back with my other programs.

Avast cannot stand up when it comes to AVG.
