This happened years ago when we were in Germany. I was in one of those small Mercedes Benz busses which shuttled people between the different kasernes when we passed by a lake close to the road which had topless women there. The male American passengers just couldn`t help staring. Not so the the German passengers.

And that is where accommodation ends. Unless it's a muslim country or Islam-based legal system, they just have to swallow it. I support people being as zealous and religiously flaky as they want to be, as long as their flakiness is used to govern themselves. I stop when they attempt to extend those restrictions across the entire society. I feel the same way about all belief systems.

Some parts of cities in Northrhine-Westphalia have self-appointed shar‘ia police. Things are happening that are absolutely unacceptable. I can’t be told how to live in my own country. I don’t go to theirs and tell them how to live.
