My brother is white (der) and he likes black women. He's married to a white woman though. Also, before I moved in with my mom I had a couple roommates and one was a white dude and he was dating a black chic. So I don't know what ya'll are talking about.
I know this might be generalizing,(i guess a research should be conducted)
But it seems that children stemming from white man/black woman unions tend to be smarter (raw intelligence--g-) than those frm white woman/black man. The kids are also very distinctive in terms of appearance. Where the ones with the black father usually looks [more] black, where as the one with a white father is usually of a much lighter skin tone, and different facial/cranial skeletal features. The reason for this is ofcourse something i cant share on here.
As for wm/bw relationships.. i know a few white boys (eminem wannabes)that would never date a white woman (ever). And these are good looking white guys (no homosexual) that get hit on by sexy ass white girls all the time, but they pass by them for hard core sisters. I see this all the time here in toronto. And the explaination they give [me] for their preferences is usually, if not always laced with self hatred.

Now ,I dont know how smart the kids of such males are gonna be,,,,haha,,,but it never ceases to amaze me as to how smart the black women they date tend to be(most have bachelors), so the kids tend to be super smart

This is because white women, and black men are both the sexiest individuals of our respective races, and when paired together, there is a certain unique chemistry, and magnetism there. White women are soft, insatiable, and very receptive to affection, with few inhibitions, and black men are strong, virile, and very affectionate, sexually, and in general. Opposites really do attract, and we are polar opposites. So by Putting these two together, the attraction becomes a very intoxicating sexual experience for the WW & the BM. While, on the other hand, many/most black women can not always find white men to be up to the standards of black men, (hence, most do not desire WM), as they lack in virility, stamina, sexual prowess, and affectionate emotion, and many/most WM can not find the all too required sexual femininity in a BW, the same as is almost always apparent in WW.
You got that right GJ. For it would have been sure death for any brotha, (and maybe the WW too), if they were found together back then.

I think WW are attracted to BM because they are more masculine, more attentive, more confident, sensual etc etc than white men. White men just don't have that ooomph for lack of a better word like black men do; that manliness that IS black men. I think in general black men are also more caring with women, want to please them in every way, emotionally, physically etc than white men and women are attracted to that. I've definitely felt a completely different dynamic when I'm with a black man and when I'm with a white man.
I haven't known any white men dating or preferring black women but I've known lots of white women who will only date black men.

Sadly the sisters continue to make them selves unattractive prospects. .they just can't figure it out . . . With every thing from poor diet, obesity, lack of feminity, gaudy outfits to loud, vulgar, and poor communication skills. When you do stumble into a sister who has got it all together though . . . you find she has also got a bitch of an attitude together too.
So I, like so many other brothers, joined the caravan to happiness (ww) as Richard Pryor" would say long ago. It was an enormously beneficial decision that has given me many rich memories

I disagree with the idea that white men wouldn't date one. There are more than enough, and my sister (who is beautiful) is hit on by them all the time. But black women, for whatever reason, haven't been that interested, although that is now changing.

On an emotional level...ummm YES! And I would definitely agree that this is the case...when it is. That has not been my experience though with *any* or *all* black men. But when it's there - yes definitely way beyond any experience with any non-black man.
The truth is - I think it's very difficult for we as white women and black men to speak to what it might be for black women and white men as to what their attraction is or is not.
I'm seeing more and more black women with white men. I know my son and his friends have always been interested in non-white girls. But then maybe they aren't a very accurate sampling since my children were raised in a very multi racial/ethnic environment and have friends that are more open.

I really don't know why there seems to be some natural attraction between white women and black men.
My opinion is that black women and white men are the cornerstones of their respective "races". For white men, they hold political power, while black women pretty much own what we call "black culture". I think that black women are much more into "blackness" than black men as a whole. Most "black" movies are geared towards black women, as are black books. When going to a book store, the "African American lit" section (and maybe because of white racism too) is full of "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" romances.
Under this sort of cultural mindset, black men (particularly the "successful" ones) become trophies. And they hate to see white women with "their" trophies. Remember that lady who temporarily posted here and released the book "Black Women Need Love Too"? This is emblematic of that mindset of black men as trophies for "deserving" black women. They invent (or steal from white men) notions of racial purity, rebuilding the black family and community (nothing wrong with building the black family and community per se, but using it as an excuse to keep black men from dating outside their race is wrong as there are far greater reasons for the strife in the black community, but that is for a different post), and "black pride", and stuff as dumb as "So you think your mother is ugly?" to prevent it.
And because black women own "blackness" and revel in it much more, they close themselves off to white men because to them, it is a contradiction to be pro-black and to date/marry a white man at the same time. White men are much the same way as white men seemingly own "whiteness". When black women finally let go with their obsession with "blackness" (and white men "whiteness"), relationships will go up even more.
