Counterpart is brilliant I recommend itWas watching this movie with Bill Murray in it called Rushmore and spotted Olivia Williams in it and thought she looked familiar.

She is married and have been married to Rhashan Stone for 15 years with two kids

Then I stumbled upon her most recent work and found out that she is on The STARZ Show Counterpart where her love interest is Chiwetel Ejiofor doppelgänger Nicholas Pinnock.

lol. The things you find when watching old movies.
Holy Wow that was a long trailer. They might as well have posted the whole ep. I think it's cute. CBS going back to the family/evangelical side like "Touched By An Angel." Don't hold your breath if you're waiting for the black lead and the white girl to hook up, even God's powers are limitedI'm 5 minutes into the series premiere of "God Friended Me" that aired last night. I'm shocked they're playing hip-hop music on a CBS show.

I did not realize that Greg Berlanti was producing "God Friended Me".I've noticed that broadcast networks don't seem to have an issue with spirituality and the idea that there are higher powers at work in the universe, as long as it isn't too preachy. CBS, in particular, has always had its fingers on the pulse of quasi-religious ideas.
As for the relationship between the two leads, I think there is much more of an IR spark between them than there was in the last show the brother starred in. One other thing to keep in mind the executive producer is Greg Berlanti, and he has had IR relationships be a part of a lot of his shows.
I finished watching The CW's "The Messengers" last night. She kissed the simp co-worker/best friend in the 3rd-to-last episode (episode 11) after he said emotional simp shit to her:I'm 4 episodes into the short-lived The CW supernatural mystery drama series "The Messengers" which aired back in mid-season/summer 2015. The show has an ensemble cast, but actress Shantel VanSanten (The chick that played Patty Spivot on season 2 of "The Flash", Haley's older sister Quinn on the last few seasons of "One Tree Hill", & the female lead/wife on USA Network's "Shooter") is basically the de facto female lead.
She has black male co-worker/best friend (played by Craig Frank), who is a simp that is obviously into her:

I'm gonna see how this plays out.
Shantel is another favorite of mine. Her work on One Tree Hill really did it for me. She looked so good she got me to watch One Tree Hill.I finished watching The CW's "The Messengers" last night. Dude also admitted that he was in love with her to the father of her estranged son in the finale. It's safe to assume they probably would've ended up together if the show had gotten a 2nd season.

Maybe the reason is because, despite the fact how much it gets mentioned in this subforum, "90210" just isn't a good show. If I compare 90210 to all the other The CW/old WB Network/WB-produced 2000's & 2010's teen/YA dramas I've watched over the years, "90210" is a forgettable show.Agreed. I love that these current YA shows are written where older folks could get into and understand them as well. One of my problems with 90210 reboot was I felt old(my age) watching it at times so I stopped after season 1. lol.
Teen drama co-starring Taye Diggs (IR marriage)
I finally watched the trailer & I'm in Day 1. I saw someone say it best, this show looks like a mix of "Friday Night Lights" the TV show (Especially the last couple seasons with Michael B. Jordan, Cress Williams, & Jurnee Smollett) & The CW's "90210" reboot series.
I had "The Real" on in the background & they had the lead actor of "All-American" on as guest. I was shocked too see he was british. I'm sure this will make the online pro-AA militants unhappy.
BTW, do any of y'all watch "The Real" or at least have it on in the background? I did not know before this year, that brothas were into the Asian co-host Jeannie Mai.
Well I will satin get why AA actors have an issue with it. Hollywood does this shit far too often and to everyone. I think it's easy to overlook flaws in that show (on this board at least), because it so frequently and unapologetically featured bmww relationships. Literally all four of the main female characters were involved at some point. One of them even ended the show in one. Whether they're "better" tv shows or not, none of the other shows you referenced have that strong a record.Maybe the reason is because, despite the fact how much it gets mentioned in this subforum, "90210" just isn't a good show. I'm behind on my culture again again. What did Aubrey Plaza do to earn such esteem? And I think we should applaud Elizabeth Olsen for being one of the very few well known American actresses that took on a IR love story with a black man with no fear and no limits. I'm glad she was on as producer because something tells me it was her decision to COMPLETELY normalize them BUT don't completely ignore the fact that they were an IR couple. Her, Aubrey Plaza, Kristen Bell and Kate Winslet are overall the only well known actresses that I know of that has made the biggest progress in those regards.
