I Am The Night
Don't know much about this limited series. It looks pretty good actually. There is a scene in the trailer where the female lead kisses a brother and they are immediately interrupted by the cops: 0:22.
New promo & BTS featurette for "Fam" ("Perfect Couple" promo starts at the
beginning, while "Meet the Cast" featurette starts at the 1:00 mark):

I just watched the mid-season finale of "God Friended Me" that aired last night. My dude @qaz1 ALMOST got what he wanted at the end of the episode. But for the 2nd or 3rd time this season, right before Miles & Cara are about to have that moment, they're interrupted. This is probably torture for @qaz1
Lol you got me! I actually caught the part you're talking about. I'm choosing to be optimistic though. She's into it. Let's just hope these writers get it together and stop with the hack soap opera stuff.
I'm almost halfway through the mid-season premiere episode of "God Friended Me" that aired earlier this week.Miles is still dating the cute lightskin/mixed DJ chick, but it looks like the amount of time that Miles spends with Cara is finally about to be an issue.

I'm pretty sure on "Chuck", Chuck & Sarah didn't finally get together till at least end of season 3. That has to be the case because I started watching "Chuck" in the middle of Season 3 when Kristin Kreuk guest-starred for a few episodes to be a love interest for Chuck and they turned the will they/won't they between Chuck & Sarah into a love triangle.I wish more shows would take the "Chuck" approach and just put the couple together. Sometimes there is a lot more fun to be had with a couple's struggles and partnership than the "will they wont they" trope.
When I first heard the name "Patty Jenkins," I just knew it was a black chick. ...lolI Am The Night

New promo for "Fam" in the first 30 seconds of the of this clip (The rest of the clip is the same promotional footage that CBS dropped this past weekend):

Watching the Pilot episode of "Fam" right now, what do y'all think about it?
I'm being reminded why I don't care for most traditional multi-cam laugh track sitcoms that premiered after the 90's. They feel so outdated & this isn't an exception.

I really tried to like it, but it is so cheesy I just can't.

Yup.Isn't Patty Jenkins the Director of the "Wonder Woman" film?
I felt the same way when I watched the pilot of that "Happy Together" sitcom starring Damon Wayans Jr & Amber Stevens a few months ago. I'll stick with "Fam" as background TV though.
The formatting of it is silly like all live-studio audience sitcoms. The cast is great and Nina and Tone's chemistry is very good. The engagement announcement bit was actually funny, but all else was a snooze.
