Don’t forget to thumbs down the shows that treat black male characters wrong.

LMAO. @The Dark King wasn't kidding about how much Netflix loves promoting the gay Black Male character trope. I already wasn't gonna watch the show because it's a foreign language show, but now I'm glad I stuck to my guns.
Shame on @Young Herschel for not telling us the truth that 1 BM character is a pathetic simp & the other BM character is a down-low dude.
The execs really fear interracial between black men and non-black women.lol. Netflix cancels most of their original shows with hetero IR involving black men and strong black male leads
The Innocents
Soundtrack
V WARS
Ironically they have had a better track record with movies (Candy Jar, Destination IO, The Week Of, Little Boxes, Deep in the darkness, Dangerous Lies, etc.)
Unless you check the background of the producer, director or showrunner of the show or movie you have to go into ANY show or movie(not just content on netflix) with a black man in a IR being aware that things might change or it could be cancelled. Im not saying be paranoid or pessimistic just aware so you won't get upset.![]()

They are doing what Hollywood is doing. They are focusing on "Girl Power", which is fine, and what makes "Girl Power" feel safe (Gay-Asexual-Black-Men). "Girl Power" stuff isn't about female empowerment, or women's rights, it's just about capitalizing on buzzwords/terms like "toxic masculinity" in order to satisfy or gain a 18-28 year old female audience. When this becomes passé, they will move on to the next "popular thing".They need another change over there. lol. Because those was some highly viewed and pretty good shows. Unique for a IR telling.
It's gonna happen quick too. This whole Joe Biden thing has destroyed every ounce of credibility they ever had. It's single handedly pushed that movement back a good 2 decadesThey are doing what Hollywood is doing. I don’t know about that... but, every movement seems to “go out of style” at some point. People get tired of hearing the same arguments over and over again. Then we end up with 25 years of calm. Then it comes back again. The time frame may be shorter or longer depending on how the internet treats it.It's gonna happen quick too. Yeah seems like these movements are pretty much just a way for a handful of opportunists to take advantage of the disenfranchised and enrich themselves.I don’t know about that... but, every movement seems to “go out of style” at some point. Look at it this way, you don’t hear much about the black lives stuff anymore, do you?

Yes. Our “actual allies” are few and far between. Most are people who wish to tag their movements to our’s and get funding or lobby for more money or policy that benefits them while simultaneously doing absolutely nothing for us. It’s all a business, and it’s sad to see intelligent people fall for that shit.Yeah seems like these movements are pretty much just a way for a handful of opportunists to take advantage of the disenfranchised and enrich themselves.
Promo for next week's season 2 finale of "Station 19":
![]()
Sullivan declines Herrera's advancements towards him after a few seconds in. LMAO
I finally started on "Station 19" a few weeks ago (1 episode a day slow-binge) & I'm in middle of season 2. They're definitely building a storyline between Viila from "Rosewood" & Boris Kodjoe's characters. They broke up Brenda Song's character & the darkskinned brotha on the show at the end of the 1st season, because he felt she was too much of a distraction for him to focus on his job firefighting.
Anyways if y'all watched "Rosewood" like me, y'all might as well watch "Station 19". I'd say "Station 19" is definitely a better show than "Rosewood" was.
Yeah I like it too. Shonda Rhimes has quietly added a lot of IR in her shows.
It didn’t look good.Netflix canceled "Turn-Up Charlie" last week:

Of course smhI finally watched the season 2 finale of "Station 19" earlier today. Boris Kodjoe's character Sullivan rejected Herrera because he couldn't perform sexually (due to injury). LOL. When I read on Wikipedia earlier in the year he rejected her in last season's finale, I assumed it was because he's the Caption & didn't want to get in trouble messing with a subordinate or was too proud to admit his feelings. Not because he couldn't get it up.
I just watched the series premiere of "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist". Jane Levy's character Zoey & John Clarence Stewart's character Simon definitely gotta will they-won't they connection. But like the Wikipedia character description says, Simon is engaged (India de Beaufort plays Simon's Fiancee, Jessica).
Skylar Astin's character, Max, is basically Zoey's effeminate male BFF. If the trailers/promos didn't promote him as the main love interest, you'd just assume he's gay. A love triangle between Zoey-Simon-Max is going to look laughable onscreen with how effeminate Max came off in this Pilot. Max is the 1 who encouraged Zoey to go finally talk to Simon, like a female (or gay male) BFF would do, even though later in the episode it's revealed Max is secretly in love with Zoey. Zoey-Simon-Jessica seems to be a more legit triangle based on what I saw in most of this pilot.
The trailers & promos for this show are misleading AF (probably on purpose) since Simon is nowhere to be found in them.
I saw it earlier and you took the words right out of my mouth. Although I'm not feeling that either. Overall the show was alright. I'm not feeling Zoey's character there was nothing that made me go "I like her" in this pilot. I did get annoyed a couple times by her. lol.
BTW India De Beaufort is BEAUTIFUL!
That "Zoey's playlist" is going to sideline the black dude and that white boy will win the love triangle. you heard it here first.
mad I gave them a view tbh.
Interracial Love Triangle? It seems like they hire the same 5 writers for every show.I watched the "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" season finale that aired earlier this week. It's now a full-blown love triangle heading into next season, if the show gets picked-up for 2nd season.

Lmao, man, I didn’t even try. Nothing about that show looked good. It was like watching a show about a 45+ soundcloud rapper who ends up being a nanny for Elon Musk’s kids or something. It just looked horrible and cliché.Did you see it all the way through? I could only make it to the 3rd episode. lol. It was boring to me.
