BM/WW IR sightings on TV

I don't now if you guys are into reality shows but but Black men are doing pretty well on them these days. FBOY Island, Bachelorette, and Love and Island USA.

Looks like the brotha on The CW's "In The Dark", Darnell James (played by Keston John), is involved in a IR with Ana Ayora's character. I stumbled onto this clip from this week's episode (Season 4, Episode 2):

I've only watched the 1st season & never caught up to the current 4th/final season. Looks like I got a reason to get back into the show.

I knew this show looked familiar. I only watched this episode and a couple more. I couldn't get into it. I'm surprised they are lasting 4 seasons.

Watching the current season 4 premiere right now & I should also note that 1 of the main characters on The CW's "In The Dark" is a biracial brotha cop on the show, Gene Clemens (Played by Matt Murray), who works with Ana Ayora's character Sarah Barnes at Chicago PD. In the 3rd season Gene & Sarah have a lot scenes together in bars, coffee shops, & in the evenings at the Chicago PD precinct they work at. So there's definitely some romantic chemistry between them & Gene eventually makes a move but Sarah turns him down because she recently started secretly dating Darnell:

I wonder if that turns into a triangle.

I don't really watch much Reality TV, but "Love Island" gets mentioned all the time from some of the IR-related social media pages & YouTube channels I follow.

Is the IR really that heavy and steamy on In The Dark or is that just a couple of scenes?

Paramount Plus Renews Evil For Season Four

Paramount Plus has called upon Michelle and Robert King to scare up a fourth season of Evil, the duo’s critically-beloved series about a unique trio that investigates supernatural occurrences.

The series that began on CBS is now in its third season on the streamer. New episodes of the 10-episode season drop weekly on Sundays.

“Evil continues to expand its fanbase of both critics and viewers alike. Season three currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and it is a consistent top-five most-watched original series and acquisition driver for the service,” said Nicole Clemens, president, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series, in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited to be terrified by what Robert and Michelle create for season four with our outstanding cast bringing it to life.”

Season three of Evil began moments after the newly ordained priest David (Mike Colter) kissed Kristen (Katja Herbers), his psychologist/partner in crime. The series also stars Aasif Mandvi (the third member of the investigative team), Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Andrea Martin, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp.

Speaking of "Evil", last week's episode (Season 3, Episode 6) revealed...

that Kristen's Husband is secretly dead.

Welp that clears the biggest obstacle, but not the only major obstacle, keeping David & Krystal from getting together.

It's also such a cheap cop out. To tease out a love triangle for almost 3 seasons, only to give Kristen an out to not actually have to make decision about what to do with her feelings for both guys.

Also wish you'd have hidden that spoiler lol I'm a couple episodes behind yet on this.

Fixed it. I meant to use spoiler quotes, but I've must've got distracted & accidentally used regular quotes.

Anyways, "Love Triangle" has never crossed my mind with "Evil" because the Husband just isn't in enough episodes to be much of a factor.

Yeah, from our perspective that is true. But through the lens of Kristen it's her husband and the guy she is crushing on hard. So still a love triangle.

I have an account and over 18. I also clicked the video off this site and it still says "video unavailable". Maybe its not available in my country but if that's the case it would say "not available in your country"

I always gotta go back & read through this thread because there are always gonna be shows I missed or forgot about being mentioned in the thread. Netflix's "The Society" is a good example. According to Wikipedia... the brotha on this show, Will (played by Jacques Colimon) is the BFF & love interest of the female lead character Allie (played by Kathryn Newton from The CW's "Supernatural"). If @Young Herschel had mentioned that when he originally posted about the show, this show might've not gone over everyone's head.

I watched the 1st episode last night. Allie is definitely into Will romantically, but Will is much more interested in another chick & looks at Allie as only a platonic best friend.

Here are the trailers:

@darkcurry @qaz1 Did y'all ever get into Netflix's "The Society"?

I have not.

@darkcurry I finished Netflix's "The Society" a few weeks ago or so. I recommend it with being summertime & nothing is on. It was a solid-good show, but ends with a cliffhanger. This show has 1 of the rare onscreen depictions of an IR love triangle involving a brotha & 2 white girls.

I just finished watching When the Streetlights Go On on Roku. The main character, Charlie (Chosen Jacobs, AKA Young Mike from IT), has a crush a white girl, Becky (Sophie Thatcher AKA Teen Natalie from Yellowjackets). However, he dates another white girl on the show.

Per usual the trailer doesn't show any idea of a IR.

But this looks like it's good. Will have to check it out sometime this summer.

I watched the first 2 episodes of "When the Streetlights Go On" last night. Does the IR 'ship involve the Narrator/15-year old black male teen & the emo younger sister of the the chick that died or nah?
