I didn't know that Yoruba Grandparents pick the child's name - what if they choose one you don't like?

Imade means "I have not fallen" as is also Iffy's late mother's name. But as his father was Ika, we would choose an Ika/Ibo name for any son. But Imade does have an Ibo name too - and an English one! And yes, the pastor does claim it's a boy because "Gold" told him. I am sick of them cackling on with their declarations. Oh well, only 2 days until I find out!

And sorry if I scared you about the twin birth thing. It's only becxause of the western obsession with medicalising childbirth, which is the most natural thing in the world. They wanted to induce me 4 weeks early as I was measuring at well overdue and had back and pelvic problems. Thankfully I ignored them and had an entirely natural birth with no pain relief. Given their own way I'd have been wired up to all sorts of shit. Tis time I am planning a home water birth to keep away from hospitals as much as possible. I'm sure Eva will be able to trust her instincts - just tell her to listen to gut feelings and have faith in her own body. Do you think you will be there for the birth? Long way away I know but it's good to consider...

Congrats. Maybe there is a age difference between us "younger people" on this board. But I (and obviously you) feel 24-28 is the right age to start having kids. Once I reach 30+ I wouldn't want any more.

But regardless of your age. It's nice to know your twins will be well taken care off, and they have a good role model like yourself to look up too. Well educated, good job, and actually has a plan for the future.
