Look, to tell someone they need standards is ignorant. Some people, both black and white, are attracted to overweight people. Maybe their "standard" is that they don't want to date thin people! Imagine that!

It's tough to be an overweight woman -- I used to be one. You don't get much attention from guys of any race. So yes, you may well snap up the first guy to come along but he could be of any race. When I did get attention from guys, it was by no means only black guys. Plenty of white guys are "chubby chasers."

Can't we spend our time worrying about much bigger problems than this? No pun intended.

Well like you all said, everybody has different oppinons on what is big/fat/obese.
I consider myself being quite overweight but I pull it off. I like my body and only wanna lose weight to be able to move around better and be more healthier.

I been with white men up until I was 20. Then met I black guy and after that I'm mostly drawn to bm. And it has nothing to do with my weight...I can still get white men aswell. I like how bm is more forward and not shy, they go after what they want.
We all like what we like and how would the world be if we all liked the same things....BOOORING.

All i'm asking for is brothas to raise their standards. Look you guys can say whatever you want. But it' the actions of some brothas that have the rest of us dealing with it. For example, a few weeks back i was out for drinks with some colleagues from work when a group of women came into the bar. One of my co-workers said something off hand that "They'd take the 3 skinny ones, and i could have the fat one cuz we know brothas love fat chicks." Of course everyone started laughing and he said he was just kidding but i wasn't amused at all. As usual black men are seen as loving the white man's cast off's and rejects. And when i see threads like this, i can't blame 'em for thinking that.

So i can't share my opinion? Last time i checked this was a public forum. Secondly, people are only as shallow as their situation allows. I'm sure if you were 60 lbs lighter you probably wouldn't be fucking with black dudes. Same as white women who reach their 40's and suddenly realize they loved black men all along.
