Real talk, we're getting to a point where just acknowledging a woman's presence is either harassment, sexist or some form of sexual abuse.

This will prolly get me some neg reps but, if women are our mental and emotional equals, why do they need so many societal, and possibly legal, protections?

The feminist party of the united states of North Korea has shrunk here, so you should be good asking questions like that

Because too many women want to have their cake and eat it too. They want equality but also want to be treated with kid gloves. Fuck that. Respect me as your equal, don't physically force yourself on me, and we're good. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Some women need to get with the times and grow some thicker skin. It's that simple

Haha don't hate, it's true. Stories like this in the original post hold a lot of the blame as to why women aren't taken seriously. Unrealistic thinking. Drives me insane. Toughen the fuck up and act like the grown women we are (in our actions and expectations).

Baby girl is the truth. It's very rare to come across women like her

Strong words that couldn't be truer ;) If we have to sugarcoat our opinions for adult conversation, then something's wrong lol.

Very cool of you to say. Appreciate it love.

if it becomes a law.....i doubt it, then it will be a slippery slope.
example if a man dumps a woman then she can have him arrested because she will say "he said he loved me and wanted me forever"

then it will be my word against hers

however....its weak for a dude to tell a woman hesan atty when hes a janitor to get ass

Weak doesn't = illegal. Women lie just as much as men to get what they want so I have little sympathy lol. This law will likely never come into effect and honestly it's sad (pathetic) that they even tried to go there.

This law is a bad idea as written. I hate overreach as much as anyone, but there's actually a narrow circumstance where I think this type of law should be available. It doesn't happen often, but there are the occasional stories about a woman being led to think she's having sex with her husband or boyfriend, only to find out it's someone else. This woman has essentially been tricked into cheating, and the aftermath can be damaging. Like I said, legit cases are rare (not that this is ever "legit"). But when I hear about it, it makes me sick and think the guy should be prosecuted.

The other sick part of all this is how low our standards have gotten. It's NOT ok to lie to get sex. It's NOT ok to lie. I'm no angel, but I also don't think my dirt is acceptable just because it's common. Soapbox speech done.
