Serendipity's performance in the pic thread proves that women are more emotional than men.

It's a generalization, and I've met men and women on both sides of the emotional spectrum, but I have met more women who are extremely emotional as opposed to men. Men seem to be better at keeping things inside, as opposed to women who want to let it all out, usually.

It doesn't hurt that, as jaisee pointed out, we've got estrogen, which is fucking ANNOYING when it starts toying with your emotions. I'm sure most of you ladies can agree that estrogen is evil when you're crying over nothing. Sure, some women handle pms like champs, but some don't. I'm not one of the champs. I'll start bawling over the tiniest thing when my hormones are raging.

And pregnancy? Dear god, it's like pms on overdrive. Since I've been pregnant it's served to further illustrate the two opposite sides of the spectrum that my boyfriend and I lie on. He's the "typical" man, emotional on the inside but you'll never know it, more than a little callous, and never understands why a girl's gotta cry when she's not being physically hurt. Me, I'm on the typical girl side, emotional, constantly seeking to get my emotions out whether it's through talking or paintings or writing or whatever. And being pregnant just makes it worse.

Men don't have as much estrogen as we do. In the cases where they start getting a spike in it, they start acting more emotional, usually. Look at gay men. You can't tell me my baby boy Scotty doesn't have more than the average male amount of estrogen, and that boy is about as emotional as I myself am. If he had periods and babies I bet he'd put even my emotional rollercoaster to shame.
