NFL QB National Anthem Protest

He needs to be out of the league then. Plain and simple there's a way to show respect and still not agree. How about stand and don't cross your heart. But to sit to me is trying to show a level of disrespect.
With all that said kudos to him for standing up for what he believes in that takes some serious nuts. Good on him. I respect his opinion even though I don't agree with it.

Colin Kaepernick lives in a country were our soldiers have bled and died for his right to say and do exactly what he did.
No most people don't agree with him, but there's no law that says you must LOVE the American flag and show proper respect.
You would kick him out of the NFL for disrespecting the American flag??
Your 'vision' of American becomes clearer and clearer everyday.
White supremacy, blind devotion to symbols of the state.....

His privileged self has no problem using a police escort to and from games. Why not protest directly to them and that? Why doesn't he protest police being at the Stadium at all? What does the anthem have to do with BLM or oppression of others.
AB, there are laws on the books about how to handle our flag..been through this before.

I don't believe that there is a law against not standing for the flag or anthem. I also don't believe that is grounds for being fired.

Nothing new. I agree with what he did. Age old can I burn a flag? If you stop the person from burning the flag, you don't believe in freedom of speech which means you don't believe in the constitution. You can't burn or disrespect the American principles while using them. It is hypocrisy. I believe he doesn't have issues with his rights just police brutality.Should be applauded for wanting to make a difference. not kicked out of the NFL. You have people who have done far worse in the NFL and are still in. Murders, spousal abuse, children beatings...etc etc
Heck you have judges that do spousal abuse and were on the bench.

Don't the cop get paid extra for that? Doubt he cares. I bet he can smoke crack in front of that cop with no repercussions.
You two need sit down with that cherry picking patriotism. You two were all in the loving arms of trump and defending him when he dissed veterans and military people. You remember, "I don't like those who get captured " statement.
Have you guys really listened to the pledge of allegiance. Read it carefully and tell mee what's up?
These people who claim they love veterans are mostly full of shit. They don't volunteer to get vets back forth to the hospital or volunteer at the VA hospital.
They don't help build homes so it can be easily accessible. They don't raise money for reconstructive surgery.
The best they do is take off from work , take advantage of the memorial 4 of July and veterans day sales.
They really get downgwhen they barbecue.
Let's really keep it 100. Y'all wasn't mad when the sports franchises charge the military to do the military ceremonies in the stadium. You know...let's honor our vets.....they charge the military for that . So sit down be quiet

You should learn to read. Trump never dissed the military - just McCain and I showed you McCain sold out his fellow veterans. I showed you.
Now YOU sit.

Good for him, expressing his Constitutional rights.. but he'll certainly have to separate himself to make the team now

No. They are in full uniform, on the job. In their cruisers, SUV's and motorcycles. The NFL helps to pay the city.
He probably could smoke crack and the cops would want a pic and autograph. And Colin knows it and milks his privilege to the fullest.

Oh look...more verbal excrement from ol snaggle-toof Otis. :smt088
My team didn't charge one red cent.
I thought what some owners did was awful and said so.
Ironically, the Military had no issue wirh it because they viewed it as a recruiting tool.

You diss one vet, you diss ALL vets.
I'm slow, so refresh my memory how McCain 'sold out' his fellow veterans.
The man was given several opportunities by his Vietnamese captors to leave the Hanoi Hilton and McCain refused.
That's called a HERO. And I personally and ideologically don't like McCain.
You really think you're in a position to judge a man held as a prisoner of war for some bullshit document he was coerced to sign by his captors for propaganda purposes???
This Trump loyalty is bizarre to me.
Anyone else disses vets and he's a piece a shit.
Trump does it and, well, he has a point.:smt099
The state of Arizona forgave him, but you still think he should be tarnished for it???
