NFL QB National Anthem Protest

I wonder what percentage of those that complained about Jay-Z were actually boycotting.

As for me, I couldn't care less about the NFL. I already banned them for life. In 2019, if you can't find another way to entertain yourself then you're part of the problem.

Boom.

As a sci-fi geek I really don't get too much into sports. I watch every now and then... more so if the game is exciting.

Y'all thoughts?

I can't believe Marcellus went there.

And just what racism does. It turns people on each other. Especially black people. Smh. Also I would like to note we have seen what Kim Kardashian is doing when it comes to prison reform and she has layed it out. I'm still waiting on what Jay-Z and The NFL plans are on social justice. Because they didn't seem to go into much about that.

He's always been about ownership to help your own people rather than waiting on others. I'm eager to see where it goes too.
And dude says Kap ain't black enough needs to go somewhere else with that nonsense. Plain and simple dude is doing the work and was taking the consequences for it. Just because it eventually worked out doesn't erase the years dude's livelihood was effected and them dragging his name through the mud.
Now if it weren't for that piece I'd agree. I do have an issue with racially ambiguous people being the face of black oppression but in this instance Kap is right where he should be.

Typical ignorant nigga' shit. I get so sick of these 'tell it like it is' types who supposedly know so much, but clearly understand very little.

FS1 just uploaded the clip to YouTube:

He just did an interview with DJ Vlad talking about it:

Marcellus Wiley opened up to VladTV about taking issue with Nessa speaking for her boyfriend, Colin Kaepernick, and his cause. Marcellus explained that he doesn't have a problem with Nessa getting involved with the cause, but he doesn't think she should've gotten a pass to call Ray Lewis a "coon." He then quoted 2Pac's "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" line, "You might be deep in this game, but you got the rules missing."

During the conversation, Marcellus also addressed Jay-Z saying that we're beyond kneeling, which he agreed with and pointed out that he was saying that three years ago. To hear more, including how Marcellus wants to see action after raising awareness, hit the above clip.

From article:
"Ice Cube stopped by to chop it up with fellow rapper T.I. on his brand new podcast, expediTIously, where he explained that he has "no problem" with Jay-Z's NFL partnership.

"The NFL could never solve the problem that [Colin] Kaepernick was talking about. It's apples and oranges. Kap is talking about police brutality. The NFL has nothing to do with that. All the NFL has is a platform, and they're willing to use their platform, now, to speak out against it. So, let's use the platform. Let's let them spend that money. Why let them off the hook? And they're using somebody who can give money back to the culture. So, I don't have a problem with it, whatsoever," Cube said.

L.L. Cool J also appeared as a guest on the show gave his two cents:

"Personally, I understand what [Jay-Z's] doing. I get it, and I see the vision, but at the same time, I do understand there are some people who cannot get past the pain."

Right, so how is the platform being used to speak out against police brutality by Jay Z? Where's the discussion about inequities in the criminal justice system?

That was the fucking point of the protests, not to get some token Negro a small percentage of ownership in in an NFL franchise so that the league can pat itself on the back.

He's out there giving donations to groups that demonize Black hair.

Cutting locs off of Black boys "for a better life."

Half the motherfuckers in the NFL got locs. So does Jigga.

This shit is a joke.
