It's easier for you to say that because the outcome is usually favorable, most guys will be so flattered by a cute girl approaching them that wouldn't resist at all. Like I said its truly something you just can't understand another example of men and women just being very different.

Women my age are OBSESSED with marriage. You can't say hello without someone sizing you up to see if you're marriage material. I'm seriously missing the good old days where all you needed was a decent car and a good smile lol

I have a friend just like that. She's the same age I am and all she talks about is the perfect guy/job/lifestyle/marriage/kids....and I'm like, why do I keep hearing this broken record? I have known her for 8 years, and it hasn't happened....what I found funny was she told me if we aren't with someone by 40, we should hook up. I laughed. I'm like why should I go for you then after you are done messing around and used up?

I think his point was more about the fact the she wants to see if there's something better before even giving him a chance. That she'd rather try to get the man she really wants but if that doesn't happen then he's worth being with. And by that point she is all used up. Her sweetness and optimism will have been wasted on the wrong guys and guess who gets to pick up the pieces? The good guy the "friend". Men should NEVER be friends with people they like because they won't respect you and if they do want you back it's because you're the only one who she thinks will put up with her

Well let me clear up a few things. I'm not a club person, I am not out looking for a piece of ass, I can't move because my lease isn't up yet, I'm attending classes right now. I do go jogging with a meetup group. I have to buy another car, since I no longer have one. Hm, what else....honestly, I'm just not digging the Miami scene. Too many people worried about material possessions, and looks for my liking.
Cultural bias is big here. Like someone said earlier, most Hispanic women here are only looking for Hispanic or Whites. Same thing with the White chicks here. Most are looking for Whites or Hispanics...even a great deal of Black women here don't want to deal with Black men here. Back in Atlanta, more people are open and you don't have to flash money(or be well-off), or be of a certain ethnicity to make friends. I even tried looking for interracial meetup groups. There aren't any here. Go figure.
I could care less about material gain. What I do care about is being comfortably happy if that makes sense, along with a woman that has similar views. I like how people have said this place is a 'melting pot' of cultures, be that it may, but a good deal of cultures here only want to mix with their own...unless you flash enough green in their face, and then you are all buddy-buddy.

Jaisee you throw out a good optimistic banter and don't get me wrong you can find women anywhere...but your post seem more like "The economy is at a all time low and NOW is the time to make money in REAL ESTATE! My program can make you RICH!" but the reality is the economy is at an all time low and so is dating while being black in Miami.
First the melting pot and numbers games. I got these numbers from the census so that ppl don't think im talking out of my ass. Miami is NOT a melting pot contrary to what you may hear.
Florida population 18 million right.
75% of ppl are white including Hispanic
In Miami 70% of ppl are Hispanic only
16% of florida is black
In Miami 19% are black
1% are Asian in Miami
Miami beach is a tourist area so naturally there you will see a lot of different people..but if you live in Miami its mostly Cubans and in my area Colombians. The poor areas like Liberty city, Brownsville, Goulds and Florida city is mostly black.
For the Serial clubber, Miami beach or the Grove is the life fortunately i'm not a clubber/dancer and I don't drink. I have to admit that you giving an invitation is admiral.
I don't think its in my persona to go do some speed dating. Just like some ppl may not like swing dancing or going to NASCAR. But to tell someone to go speed dating with a herd of creepos and cornies doesn't help lol
Wait. wait wait... All the bitching and moaning in this WHOLE forum and you chose this thread to talk about whiners and complainers. The Op is just stating his experience and specially for someone new to Miami who is non-Hispanic its hard. Cubans own Miami and that is partly why its hard to date because hispanics "Climb the Ladder" Much faster then anyone else. Most political positions, management positions, personal businesses and the list goes on. WOMEN know this. Also a little history lesson. A lot of older Cubans do not like blacks. Castro was a supporter for blacks and Africans and he de-segregated Cuba and that is when a huge majority of Cubans started moving to Miami. Most Cubans and Hispanics date in their race and the parents forbid dating outside it.

I wasn't mocking the op I'm just saying in general you have to fight for what you want. Climb that ladder as far as you can go until its time to make your own ladder. I just recently found out about how deeply racist most hispanics are so I hear you but then my suggestion would be to move to Tampa way more racially friendly and hw there do date bm. I know from personal experience. Its our obligations to be the absolute best we can be before going out there to date. We as bm know the deal. The bar is higher for us period so either rise to the occassion or fall to the ground. Its not fair but who ever said people were fair.
