You would walk a Manhattan block or two with that shit just to get the water and then bring it all the way back. Me and my friends used to race to see who could make it faster with the two full buckets in our hands.

LOL, anyone from the the island cultures will let you know its the same deal as well as a part of growing up there.

I grew up where you would see donkey carts carrying goods, sometimes walking around barefeet when I was outside playing so that the good shoes are saved for school.

I actually know what the inside of an outhouse looks like.

We all have a backstory to our lives. :D

Those experiences though toughen your for life and any struggles, because you know how to handle it and go with the flow of things.

Let em know fam. Third world is third world. Living in damn town where cows just roam around unchecked and its luxury to have shoes. When we would stay at my grandma's goat farm in Maypen that shit made you appreciate the hell out of basics like being able to flush your own toliet or sleep less thsn three in a damn bed in the middle of July on a humid ass island lol. Dont get me started on those outhouses talk about rank. I think dead bodies smell rosier lol

Hell, my neighborhood in Miami has people raising chickens in their back yards! Not as extreme an example, but I know what you guys are talking about.

Your countrymen in UK seem to think not, they actually think Jamaica is second world since they cannot be in the same category as Africa and when i begin to point out the similarities between places like Trelawny and Soweto among other things they hurl blooodclaat and bomboclaat my way
Jamaica has a place called accompong town and their roots are from Ghana and are called coromantees with Marcus Garvey being a popular coromantee who are also called maroons.The yams and rice and peas are all delicacies in Ghana. Till this day the coromatees in accompong town use certain words in akan like the horn called abeng which they use for their festivals. Its fascinating to know stuff like this but some yardie buoys in babylon never wanted to know it.:cool:
