if that's the case, i'd never make it up north....down here, sweet tea is a way of life, dude. :drinkers: <----that really is sweet tea he's drinking
I really don't like sites like match.com, because the kind of white women that goes on those sites are looking for same race dating. Dr. Phil sponsores I think e-harmony and he does shows on it from time to time and a lot of the time it's mostly same race with everyone. On IR dating site you can knock whether they date interracially right out and be able to go further in the type of person you want to hook-up with.
How to Meet.........Non IR Sites I have yet to see a television advert for e-harmony featuring a white woman and black man.Perhaps I missed it, or it isn't airing in our market. I firmly believe in the concept of "niche" dating. The truth about these commercial dating sites is that the vast majority are seeking same race relationships.Point blank. It's very generic.I know there are exceptions to the rule, but that's the general flow and construct of the sites. I know someone pointed out that e-harmony DID have a good record for interracial dating, but I'd put my money on forums like this one first. I do well within my own element. The same goes for other specific qualities I seek out in women as they seek out specific male qualities; or fetishes, etc. The mainstream is okay for some, but I do better in a like minded environment such as this one.At the very least I know the white women here aren't passing on me because I am black, and vice versa. .02
chosen & suprchick.. i'm expecting great things from you two in the future.. and i guess i should say that about tucker & shyandsweet too.. haha
I have created specific searches on match.com to seek out what I'm looking for. You can customize to pull profiles of women looking for black men. I have one that will pull women that are petite since that is what I generally like. If her profile listing on race specifially says WHITE. I do not pursue. Its real simple for me, if she doesn't list Black/African I don't bother. There are a lot of profiles that come up in my race specific search, but there are very few who leave in my area or who meet the other qualifications of whom Id want to date.
Why bother with online dating. Two people can meet for free while visiting a social area (mall, store, event, etc.). I think the number of people to meet all depends on where you live: a small town vs. a city (such as New York City). If a person is in a small town area then online dating may not be successful. Where I use to live, a small and slow city, they did speed dating events.
Hi everyone, I am new, but I thought i would add to this. I am from a really small place and so am relatively shy, however something like match.com enabled me ot be more out going initially than I would have been. And also, there is no such thing as speed dating here as most of the residents go about on walkers, and I am sure to them the thought of a BM and a WW, no matter how appealing to most of us would be enough for them to choke on their false teeth. So Match.com has its place in the IR dating seen i think, the same as all the other methods of meeting people!!
i've never used match.com but have used yahoo personals. whenever i've used yahoo i've always put in my preferences that i like black men and have always had plenty of black men contacting me. lately i've been using okcupid because it's completely free but they don't give you the option of selecting race in your preferences so 99% of the emails i get are from white men. i've only had one black man email me and that was probably because i viewed his profile first and he saw that & knew i was cool i guess. in general though i've decided to take a break from the online dating scene because it seems like every guy i meet online turns out to be a player who is only looking for booty calls.
Welcome to the site Racchy. Are you near London or out in the rural areas? If you are from the latter I understand you don't find a lot of women in the boonies.
