Police arrest 16 in twisted gang rape of 11-year-old girl in Cleveland, Texas.

That's horrible. Unfortunate as you said. I guess it's the times in which we live in. The girl's parents are also partially to blame for this terrible incident. This child is scarred for life. It's going to take a serious support system to be there with her because of the pain and shame she will endure for a lifetime.

So we can blame the parents(who had nothing to do with it), but not the girl?

Well this is logical.

Question.

How many bad parents does it take to devoid a girl of all common sense?

It's obvious her parents weren't doing their job. Yes, kids are sneaky & stupid, BUT it's obvious her parents were lazy about their responsibilities. It's a parent's job to keep their children safe & to raise them to make good decisions. There is NO 11 year old child mature enough to be left to their own devices. Kids that age aren't fully developed mentally to know what's best for them. People need to stop reacting like this little girl was a grown woman who had the sense to know she was putting herself in a potentially bad situation. The motherfuckers that raped her had no excuse whatsoever for what they did...
RAPE IS NEVER EXCUSABLE & NO ONE DESERVES TO BE RAPED!

All the assholes who are blaming the shit on this little girl wouldn't be doing it if she was their child. I pray their children never have to suffer through what this child has. It's hard-hearted, lowlife fools like these that fuck up the world & remind you that on so many levels that humankind isn't worth a fuck.

Yeah because if it was our child we'd be too emotionally evolved and blinded by our own hate.

Since I'm on the outside looking in I can see this with a clearhead and make rational decisions.

Situation.

Your 11 year old is riding in the car while your sister is driving. She has a wreck and your 11 year old dies because she didn't have a seatbelt on.
You can scream, get mad at, and blame your sister all you want.
At the end of the day though part of the blame has to go on your own kid.

actually the driver has a responsibility to make sure everyone in the car is belted, especially the minors

And the 11 year old has the responsibility to put on her own seatbelt.

Oh wait let me guess, 11 year olds aren't mature and can't reason enough to know to put on their seatbelts?

Exactly whats wrong with this world.....no one wants to put responsibility in the right hands.

Who's responsibility is it then that she was raped? Being a survivor of rape and molestation as a child I can tell you that it is not her fault. It is no ones fault but the person/persons who raped her. It's not even her parents fault because my mom didn't even have a clue that it was going on...in my childlike mind I felt like I had to protect her from this awful thing that was happening to me. The blame belongs to the rapist. Especially these men, they are grown they knew what they were doing was wrong.
IMHO

Sad to hear this crap happened to you Garbogirl. I hope you've recovered from it and are experiencing better times.

It is something I will never be 100% over....it really did affect me and affects the relationships I have today. I am 30 years old and still have nightmares of the attacks to this day. I hope that they get this little girl some help right away....I just feel so bad for her :( I know what its like..I have been there and was there for many years...it's just horrible

Like I've said before, partially the guys and partially hers.

If someone steals something out of your car, yes it's that persons fault. Also though, some of the blame goes to you for leaving the door unlocked.

Is the blame always shared? No.
This just happens to be one of those crimes and situations where both parties are partially to blame.

Leaving your car unlocked and the rape of an 11 year old child are two very different things. If you are old enough to drive a car then you are old enough to make a decision to lock it or not. This child is not to blame and it is because of people with those views that many victims are afraid to tell someone because they feel dirty and feel shame from it....that I know from my own personal experience. We as victims blame ourselves enough...we don't need society's help..

some people simply cannot understand until they've experienced it.

Thank you for your strength to share. Some people never mention what happened to them to anyone, and while it may be slightly easier on the internet it still is a difficult task to tell anyone about that sort of thing, ESPECIALLY someone who's running around crying that an 11 year old child is to blame for being gang raped by teenagers and adult men.

This was taken when the Olsen twins were TWELVE.

11 is a fucking child no matter what way sick people try to twist it.

Blaming the victim of a sexual assault and rape is a common ploy by abusers. Perhaps they think it gets them off the hook for their "uncontrollable urges that were triggered by the way a girl dressed." It seems there are also plenty of others who want to castigate one who is viciously violated because she had on certain clothes or makeup. The small town of Cleveland, Texas is becoming polarized by the gang rape case of an 11 year old girl.
Background on gang rape case:
On November 28, 2010, an 11 year old girl was observed in front of an abandoned trailer in Cleveland, Texas. Later, loud music was heard in the trailer and nearby house where the girl had been forced to strip and was brutally raped by several males. Others were called on cell phones and invited to join the orgiastic melee. Some began video taping the barbaric assaults on their phones, and the videos soon went viral online. The girl and several males were identified, some being star athletes from the town high school.
So far, 18 males from ages 14-27 have been arrested, and the count for the rape suspects may go as high as 28.

Blaming the rape victim:
Some of the comments in the media:

  • "she dressed older than her age"
  • "she had a history of being promiscuous"
  • "she shouldn't have gone riding with two men"
  • "she consented to to a "train" of sex encounters"
  • "she bragged of wanting to be a porn star on Facebook"
  • "(the accused perpetrators) didn't know her age, and she claimed she was 17"
CNN reported today that a man named Quannell X, who has past connections with radical Islam groups such as the New Black Panthers, decried the young girl for not trying to stop the rapes and not yelling out.
The girl has been moved to a different town and school because of threats of violence and death against her family.
These comments seem to validate that rape is okay if:

  • the girl seems to want it because of someone's perception of her appearance or behavior
  • the girl is of the "age of consent" (17 in Texas), by her statement or by the pretended ignorance of the abusers

Really?

It doesn't matter that rape is always a traumatic violation of the deepest sense of personhood?

It doesn't matter that rape is always about power?

It doesn't matter that the victim was a CHILD?

It doesn't matter that it wasn't just the perverted pleasure of one man, but possibly 2 dozen or more men and boys viciously violating a little girl?

It doesn't matter that sex with children is illegal (for good reason)?

It doesn't matter that video taping such acts and then distributing them is considered child pornography, and is also illegal?

It doesn't matter that sexual abuse survivors bear emotional scars for their entire life, sometimes with severe Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder (PTSD)?

Rape of any kind is never okay and should not be tolerated for any reason.

Sexual abuse is never asked for nor deserved. Gang-rape should never be known among civilized people. Men of honor would stand up against these horrific degradations against females (and boys, too) and let their colleagues know there is zero tolerance for such behavior, and legal punishment is certain.

No it isn't you fucking idiot. Your infantile understanding of the American legal system is embarrassing.

If someone takes your property without your permission, it's theft. Period, point blank with no equivocation. If someone forcibly uses your body for sexual gratification, it's rape.

Thank you for giving me another opportunity to shit all over your dumbass.

Actually i wud say society has to take some of the blame.. Why do so many boys turn into monsters, why do they think they are entitled to women bodies whenever and however they want?
