Question for Jellybird About Southern Wesleyan Univ and SC

Hey there Jellybird, I have a question for you and I'd be grateful if you could give some feedback on it. Depending on how things go, I may or may not be offered an administrative/managerial position at Southern Wesleyan University. Based on what I've read of the school on their Web site, it's a very conservative university that actually has rules against intimate relationships or any form of lust between administrators, staff or students. So I'm wondering...if I end up moving down to that Central, SC area, I may not have much of a social life. I also hear that most of the lounges and clubs in Central tend to be populated by students, so if I got a job on that campus, it may not be good for me to be seen hanging around that area...given the fact that I hear it's such a small campus where everyone knows everyone.

Also, what can you tell me about the township of Central, SC? Is it tolerant to interracial dating at all? Thanks.
 
When you say "central"...are you refering to Columbia, because Columbia is the only "big" city in the middle of SC? If your not in Columbia, or close to it (within 10-15 miles) I would say pass.
 
Oooohh...you mean the Southern Wesleyan University campus thats in Central, SC (just north of Clemson).

HELL, NO! The school is a reflection of the area...very conservative.

Not to say that they're are not good people there, but I personally couldnt see a black man who enjoys dating white women being warmly welcomed there.

Thanks a lot for this feedback, Jellybird. That's exactly what I was scared about. I don't think South Carolina is the best option for me at this point.

What part of SC and what type of clubs? (I wouldnt know much about the IR scene in SC because at the time I was dating black women, but if you want to know about the nightlife in Columbia or Charleston areas, then I can certainly help.)
