Any decent human being would never want someone of that nature to be allowed to continue interacting with other members, nor would ever want other women (or men) to fall victim in the future, because lippy is not his first victim. I had a situation with someone and it was alarming for sure, but they were actually found that he was doing things way beyond anything he attempted with me. Oh and it turned out he wasn't at all who he was claiming to be, didn't matter - they got him.

I know i have cause i end up saying mean spirited things. Thats why i made the apology thread. I would hope people would be remorseful and people forgive and then stop it.

It really goes over the line when u try to ruin someones life .

Let me ask you this though (no need to post answers, just take a look for yourself)

Have you posted anything that in any way can be tracked to another account you may have or any of your actual personal information?

Have you posted a picture or quote that might have a connection to another nickname, account, or personal information?

While it is highly questionable as to someone's intentions of tracking someone's information, it is not difficult to do. Take a minute online and see if you can track your own information even. You may be shocked to see what you find. Unless you live in a closet and never have any contact with anyone or anything in the world, your information is out there. Then it's just a matter of if it's able to be connected to through anonymous nickname(s) you have chosen to use on this (or whatever) site(s).

There are some pretty simple ways to keep yourself protected. I have yet to see a situation that started online where the victim did not have some sort of opening to their information on the site that they initially connected with the perpetrator. I'm not in ANY way saying the victim is to blame! I'm just saying that it's possible to be on the net and not be traceable.

I feel you. Years ago, I was stalked online to offline by a man obsessed with me (we belonged to an IR Yahoo Group). He not only harrassed me, but my boyfriend as well, threatening to assault him. He even followed us to another State we visited. It was frightening, because you don't know the level of crazy in people. Look at the Carolina killer - a website was the fueling catalyst for him. Many people have been assaulted, raped, stalked and murdered by unstable people who connected via sites on the internet, because so much of our personal life is now digitized. It's not shit n giggles.

In all fairness GL, he wasn't trying to contact you offline, he asked to email something to you. That's still online. You could have easily given him an email address that was blind with no way for him to know who you really are or anything about you. You can even get phone numbers that completely hide your identity.

It's good to be cautious. It's not necessary to live in fear though. Believe me, they don't have to be online to be able to get to you. Predators will always find a way.

You've been posting on this site long enough that you should basically have a feel for other posters based on how and what they post about. So based on that you or anyone else should reasonably be able to figure out if you choose to interact with other posters at any time you log in based on who else is logged in at the time.

Point being it is really easy to avoid any drama or possible conflict just as it is to get into it because either way it all falls on the individual on how you choose to conduct yourself and who you choose to interact with. It most certainly should not be tolerated!! Getting him banned here means and stops nothing. If anything it'd likely fuel him further. To me, I'd be more like "fuck that site, I'm getting justice irl". Stalking and harassing are HUGE issues and should be reported to the authorities, his reprocussions here are very menial in the grand scheme of things.

I never said he shouldn't be banned. As I've stated, imo, banning him serves no real purpose especially considering how easily some have proven coming back under a different name, can be. Doesn't mean banning him isn't warranted. Personally I believe all the energy being spent on attacking webbie for his perceived slow response time, may have been better served seeking actual justice for the victim. That was, and remains, my point.

And hearing Webbie say he's too busy to address not only my email but those of 3 others, including the victim, yet he has time to answer TDK's questions, I call bullshit on the too busy excuse. If you're so busy with your real job that you can't address a serious situation with your side hustle, maybe it's time to give that side hustle over to someone who has the time.

Wow, I hope this doesn't cause the entire set of relationships here - many of which are positive - to fray and/or disintegrate. If anyone is being threatened, it should be reported to the authorities immediately. And I, for one, would like everyone here to let me know when any opinion I express crosses the line. NO, I'm sorry but I like this site. This issue is not a board issue that requires the site to go down but a member issue and I am certain webbie will get to it. Getting a new tech job isn't that easy. There tends to be a big learning curve especially if he is going into the application section.

Yeah no doubt. Theres was this one person that totally came off as creepy though. Kinda reminded me of a killer clown that u see in the movies.
