Finally home! Time to crack open a cold one (or three), make something to eat, and relax. *takes deep sigh of relief*

I hate leaving work early only to sit in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour. 6 lanes plus both HOV lanes STOPPED. 65 minutes to go 12 miles...now it's pool time!

Crappy drizzle and light rain halted my son's tournament near the end of the second set. Hope the weather holds up tomorrow. It's going to be a long day! 8:00 a.m., here we come! Now to watch Burn Notice and Real Time with Bill Maher.

Probably because it's the first major city to ever file for bankruptcy.

But it's a microcosm for America. All great nations have fallen.

On a positive note, Australia is bustling. :smt033

Just had an interesting conversation with a friend about a guy she's seeing. She's absolutely beautiful and can have any guy she wants but seems to only choose losers. Its something that boggles the mind since in my opinion as far as dating is concerned women are 100% in the drivers seat as far as dating is concerned. You can't pick assholes and then bitch that all their is is assholes out there. I get we all want someone hot but when "hotness" keeps leading you to bad situations maybe its time to pick another trait to focus at first.

    Thanks a mil!

    You're right. I don't know why it's underrated, but I think it's a great show.

She is in the drivers seat as far as who she chooses to complain about. :p

I have tried to help my friend with similar issues, maybe I am just too subtle as I always like to try and support my friends choices in men (hell I have made some pretty poor men choices in the past myself). She looks like a barbie doll but has the worst self esteem of any girl I have ever met. Unfortunately I can not bring myself to like her newest squeeze, he cheated on his wife with her and left his wife for her (but only after the wife found out and kicked him out from what I hear)... I just cant respect that.

I agree with you TDK, picking different traits in a partner might be a better way to choose which guys to date.

It just makes me really happy that I'm not single right now. I honestly think if this doesn't work out with me and her I could never date again. I don't have the energy to deal with emotionally vacant women who can only be interested if there's a "challenge"
The most unfortunate thing is the amount of decent guys out there who become too gun shy to talk to women because women like my friend shoot them down in favor of assholes. Then all you get are a bunch men who believe the only way to get what you want is by treating women badly.

I much prefer a no drama relationship. I don't last long with guys who have too many issues going on or automatically assume I am going to be like every other girl they have dated and so on...... One relationship I was in, we choose to be exclusive etc but because I was "quiet for 24 hours" he put a profile up on a dating site. He assumed that because I wasn't texting back etc that I had found someone else... Talk about a low self esteem or issues or whatever was going on in his head... So men can be just as challenging let me tell you...

    I wouldn't know I don't date them lol
I will say this though men don't seem to be as demanding about their requirements in another person to be happy. A lot of women seem to expect a man to make their lives better.
