I'm all for following the law but marijuana being legal in one state and illegal in another is a brown bag of horseshit

Well, for starters 57% of the state voted 'yes', so the majority of your state voters are actually quite disappointed in some of you unreasonably staunch conservatives right now. This required a supermajority vote to pass, which is bullshit. Basic math teaches us that anything over 50% is majority. 60% is reaching overwhelming majority territory.

And make no mistake... I absolutely agree that the whole 'medicinal' thing is a trojan horse. A trojan horse that I fully intended to ride to being able to acquire my pot with less hassle. Until SOMEONE can come up with a reasonable explanation as to why marijuana should be illegal, something more than what essentially equates to 'because pot heads will turn into zombies and eat our brains' or 'because my pastor said it's bad' I will continue to fight the good fight.

What is gained with this? Pot smokers will continue to smoke pot. The law will not discourage them, it only gives them more reason to not believe in this political system. It will also continue to fill our jails with non-violent offenders. I am genuinely interested in knowing why some (you in this case) have such a vested interest in denying others something that they enjoy based on your own moral codes? I will likely never meet you... how does my smoking pot impact you and your quality of life even in the slightest bit?

Take a few days and think about it.... I'll wait.

Alcohol and cigarettes, two vices that both have more bodies on them than marijuana*100 being legal is a brown bag of horseshit.

OK well then you had your say and agree that the supermajority provision is bullshit. It may help in balancing power in legislative bodies, but in actual elections a simple majority should suffice.

It is not that cold Good love....you have to allow for some steam release. .....You must understand that a lot of dreams went up in SMOKE when that bill in our state went down. ..

Seriously Arch, stop with the self righteous bullshit and answer a simple question. If you don't want to smoke, then don't. Do you need laws to back your own morals for validation or to make others abide to what you feel is right and wrong? Can you provide a single reason as to why marijuana prohibition is logical?

What dreams went up in smoke? The dreams of non-violent offenders not having misdemeanors on their records for possession of a god (if he were real) given substance? Dreams of this bass ackwards state actually catching up with the rest of the country / world? Frankly, the only thing that went up in smoke in my household tonight was a nug of kush.

Now, can you be a big boy and speak to your beliefs? Preferably not in comic sans, because it's hard to take a grown man seriously when they write in a font created with children in mind as the target audience.

Like I said. Take a few days....

I struggle to see why anyone who opposes something doesn't simply decide not to do it and allow others to choose for themselves?

Because they struggle with their own beliefs or don't truly believe. Do you see anyone screaming at the top of their lungs that water is wet? Nope it stands on its own and doesn't need defending.

Btw welcome back fam. Long time no post.

Non violent offenders should face an entirely different system, period

This one size fits all approach to criminal justice is beyond belief in this day and age

That would be too much like right

Lots of people oppose drinking and cigs, so they simply refrain from doing them

    It's called personal responsibility

They don't need laws to tell them what not to do
