Yeah. I just passed a gas station last night and it was $3.56 a gallon. WTF??? I paid $3.40 a gallon a couple of days prior. Whew. Thank God I filled up when I did. I don't even want to think about how high it's going to be in the summer. I won't be able to afford to drive to work! Here's a good article to explain why our gas prices are going UP: http://www.lopforums.com/entry.php/497-Blog-is-Tito-The-TRUTH-About-Rising-Oil-Prices
HAHA.. actually, my Mom takes hers off wherever she can. I wear mine until the bitter, bitter end of the night..seconds before I get into bed. NOT wearing one is far more uncomfortable to me than wearing one. Actually, in terms of comfort, I'd wear a corset all of the time if I had my choice and people wouldn't look at me like a Ren Faire reject. lol It's been $3.30 a gallon here. Ridiculous. Makes me glad my car gets decent gas mileage. It has to suck if you drive a gas guzzling rhino of a car. I don't understand people that in this economy drive around in Hummers, pick-up trucks, Escalades, Land Rovers and the like. Maybe more money than brains? lol
It'll settle again. If they didn't keep it high during the Iraqi war they won't for domestic uprisings. It won't go above 5.
The gas prices aren't high because of the uprisings. They're high because of the American dollar exchange rates. And gas prices not going above $5 a gallon is little comfort to me, as I log 175 miles every week just driving to and from work. :smt091 I drive a Nissan Sentra. It gets good gas mileage, but it has 110,000 miles on it...the mileage is not what it used to be. :-|
The rise in oil prices seems to be a direct result in middle eastern conflict as it always has an affect on oil price. But your commute does sound like it sucks. What do you do to pass the time?
Same here, Bookie. My commute is just about the same as yours. I average about 27 miles to the gallon right now, fortunately.
im crap at working out exchange rates and the whole gallon thing but petrol here is currently £1.28 a litre, those down london way pay more than me too
I saw Dr. Phil today that had Steve Harvey on it today, & it had a guy who doesn't listen to his wife, and it made me think, when I start dating again. I'm going to find me a Martial Arts woman. Don't know why it made me think that way.
Well, it's only 30 minutes to work (usually) and about 40 minutes (on good days) on the way home. I listen to music and car dance, mostly. Sometimes a certain someone calls me and I talk to him all the way home, but mostly, I just listen to music and try to drown out the voices in my head, wait, what?? I need to check my gas mileage. Mmm...only if it's yours I'm thinking about!
The prices are higher because of the relative instability brought on by recent revolutions in the Arab world, in addition to the long-term economic growth of China and India.
Tonight, I finally got a chance to do something I've wanted to do for weeks now. I stripped down to my bra and panties and took pictures of myself of the front, both sides and back. I did NOT like what I saw. :smt091 Now, I have comparison photos that I can look back on and compare as I lose weight. :smt023 Needless to say, there's a lot of work to be done. :smt011
