"The movie, A Rainy Day in New York, features a romantic relationship between characters played by Elle Fanning and Jude Law. Fanning's character is a teen and Law plays a man in his forties."

Older man/younger woman is one of his pet themes (see "Whatever Works" with Larry David). Don't know if you noticed but Woody quit making movies in America. He is outside the Hollywood system just like Polanski

"You never read that an actor is known for playing 'strong male' characters because its assumed all men are."

Again losing sight that this applies to WHITE men. Last time I check men of color, especially black men in Hollywood still have to fight off stereotypical roles that marginalizes black men and a WHITE actor dropped out of movie this year because he was portraying a character that was Asian.

As a race, White men don't have to FIGHT for strong roles. WE DO!!

The film Manhattan, considered one of Allen's best films, was art imitating life( this was before he had a relationship with Soon Yee Previn, Mia Farrow's and Andre Previn's adopted daughter)at the same time, a love letter to the city of New York. He filmed it in black and white because that was how he saw New York City. After Allen saw it win an Oscar, he hated the film.

This is a familiar theme in Woody Allen movies. His film 1979 Manhattan had his 40something character dating a 17 year Mariel Hemingway.

Mariel Hemingway Says Woody Allen Tried to Seduce Her When She Was a Teenager

In Woody Allen’s 1979 comedy Manhattan, the filmmaker, then 44, dated a 17-year-old character played by Mariel Hemingway. The part earned Hemingway an Oscar nomination, and, according to the actress in a forthcoming memoir, also the unwanted romantic attention of Allen.

In Out Came the Sun, which will be released on April 7, Hemingway claims that Allen attempted to lure her to Paris once she turned 18—two years after she had filmed Manhattan. “Our relationship was platonic, but I started to see that he had a kind of crush on me, though I dismissed it as the kind of thing that seemed to happen any time middle-aged men got around young women,” writes Hemingway. The actress suggests that Allen attempted to act upon the crush by flying to her parents’ home in Idaho and inviting the teen to Europe.

Did George Clooney assault JLo?!

I saw this posted on another forum and it made me think of this thread. Not sure if I believe it though. Apparently there was some old gossip years ago that Jennifer Lopez told someone George Clooney drugged and sexually assaulted her when they worked on a film together, but it got hushed up at the time. Sounds unbelievable, but could it be true?? If it is, it really makes you wonder why she's happy to throw Wesley Snipes under the bus but says nothing about this!!

I do believe J. LO has a bit of a problem with black men, although it seems to be dying out in her, but she more than likely was willing to throw Wesley out there because he had fallen off. George Clooney is a big deal and even more so now since he and Matt Damon have these political feminist applauding them for speaking out. So he is even protected by them.

You won't make any friends in Hollyweird shitting on our beloved Clooney

This is the guy who played basketball with the film crew between takes instead of being in his trailer. Got arrested protesting. A real man of the people

J-LO wouldn't get far badmouthing him

Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Jungle Fever star Annabella Sciorra says Weinstein raped her in her home then stalked her for years, while Daryl Hannah 'fled through back door of a hotel after he pounded on her door'

  • Annabella Sciorra said Weinstein entered her home and raped her in the 1990s
  • She said it made her feel 'disgusting,' and that he pursued her for years after
  • Sciorra also accused him of stifling her career for years after the alleged rape
  • Hannah said he had 'pounded' on her hotel door on two separate nights
  • One night the barricaded it; the other she had to flee the hotel by a back door
  • Years later, she said, he walked into her hotel room, having procured a key
  • She said he was scared off by a male friend but later harassed her
  • Almost 60 women have now accused Weinstein of crimes including rape

JLo had issues with Matt Damon because he and Ben Affleck hung out and partied together. Affleck was engaged to JLo at the time. It was believed that Affleck and JLo ended their relationship because of Affleck's and Damon's bromance and JLo's demands in the relationship.

Pretty soon, the certain turd men trying to justify that this scoundrel behavior "is just part of the business", will have to stop defending these dog-fleas. Can't come soon enough.

@Bliss What are the right-wing conspiracy theorists saying about this whole scandal? There's gotta be a reason the Hollywood elites are throwing 1 of their own under the bus & marking him as a sanctioned target.
