Fair is fair...I'm assuming we won't hear, "But, but..men hold all the power, women can't possibly be sexual harrassers".
At least let's hope not, because it's not right or correct.

Tucker Carlson had a segment on it last night with Mark Stein. He (and Mark) said it's getting to the point where he's afraid to work with them because not that he would ever do anything wrong, but he doesn't want something that would come back in 30 years time, when a woman decides she felt uncomfortable and he doesn't even remember or know what she's talking about and he loses his whole career over.

I think women need to be very careful about what they accuse men of and make sure they're not belittling true cases of sexual harassment.
(This applies to male accusers as well)

The first film I saw Salma Hayek in was Desperado. Her first film was Mi Vida Loca, she had a small part as a gangster' girlfriend. But her portrayal as Santanico Pandemonium was very memorable. She had a fear of snakes but got over it after the movie. Before she did her dance scene, she told George Clooney not to stare at her breasts. Clooney stared at her butt.

What purpose does V.S and Miss Universe serve? Women in lingerie and bikinis and tight dresses result in objectification and not much more.

If men were expected and encouraged to disrobe and show of his form all the time, wouldn't women eventually come to view him as a piece of meat? A dumb man, eye candy? Someone to grope?

And if some men began to protest the labels, the expectations and objectification, imagine if they were called manist-nazies and homos.

I am of the opinion that this all contradictory.

When I hear or read about how someone is viewed as a "REAL" man or woman, it suggests that this person is perfect in all ways privately and professionally. They are the gods and goddesses that walk among us. For that reason, they are the exception.

Men and women are bored.

It is easy to forget that these "perfect" people were once like them until fate or circumstances happen upon them and they are now in a rarified atmosphere.

I remember hearing stories of men who say that they go to strip clubs and they have a good time. Their wives would oftentimes object. But if the wives go to a strip club to see men take off their clothes, the husbands can't get them out of the place.

I remember seeing an interview with Stanley Kubrick's widow. Stanley had picked up the novel Traumnovelle and read it. The novel was the basis for the film Eyes Wide Shut. She was often asked to read some of the scenes on the script but she was reluctant to do so. She said that women who are adored by their husbands; and they know it, are capable of hurting their husbands. In my opinion, we're all capable of doing that either intentionally or subconsciously.

This all makes me wonder about why some 80's country-western songs talk about guys who want to steal their friend's girlfriend.
Or why any woman would want to go on a reality show and compete against other women to win the heart of a man and vice/versa.

They say the heart wants what the heart wants. But at what price?

The only real victim was Matt's wife. This is getting REALLY absurd and they keep giving these people, the wrong women a voice. That's a consensual relationship. And real victims of assault deserve better than to have their message watered down by being lumped in with women who feels jilted after the fact.

This is a sad case of living separate lives. The life one has at home and the life one has away from home.

This reminds me of years ago when suddenly all sorts of women were accusing their ex husbands of child molestation in divorce/custody battles. There was a huge uproar and I thought FINALLY this will be taken seriously. But it didn't go that way. Lots were accused falsely with horrible outcomes and most who were guilty went unscathed.

I know what you are talking about. A guy went through that in my city a few years ago. It was heartbreaking to see him on TV breakdown in tears of joy after being found not guilty and he was able to see his kid again.

This is also reminding of how "culture appropriation" by antsy black folks was derailing efforts against racism. Remember we were posting quite a few of them in the Offensive Awards thread. I remember white people getting agitated by that(and understandably) Well the same thing is happening with some of these accusations and what's considered sexual harassment and what is not. Men(and some women) are getting agitated by some of these allegations. But we are in the age where people are easily offended and it just is HURTING efforts to combat sexual predators and racist. To @The Dark King 's point I just seen on Inside Edition that some Companies are toning down the Office Christmas parties and some are now even cancelling them. No word from my Job's Christmas party yet which is next week. My girlfriend told me this and I'll repeat it here "Humanity needs to take a few, long deep breaths right now and stop letting anger take over."

It's funny that this came up, I was just talking with one of my clients (a 70-year-old woman) she said that when she worked at the hospital the few male nurses used to get harassed by the female nurses all the time.

I remember an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. A black male music teacher at an exclusive school for the performing arts and a judge for a major talent show was accused of inappropriate behavior with students. He was arrested and jailed until it was revealed that the accusation was false because it was made by the parent of a student whom the teacher failed. He was released. But he was very angry at the unit because the arrest and his termination from his teaching and music career were over, his reputation is shot and the experience will never go away. He will never work again.

This is why a fair, thorough and impartial investigation is necessary to help all involved.

And there it is. I wonder why they have been so silent on His and Nelly's situations. Why THEIR faces wasn't plastered all over the media. Because in Nelly's case she never retracted her statement, she just dropped the charges due to threats and pressure. Therefore he was still deemed by a lot of people in the public as a rapist and predator. I guarantee you these are not the last people taking out an lawsuit for what they believe to be false claims. This is why these celebrities and social bloggers like Lauren Duca are hurting sexism, they are being a big help but their irrational approach to this is detrimental to the cause. And one of the reasons is because like I said these women JUST. WANT. POWER. They don't believe in gender equality they believe in gender dominance. They throw the word equality out there to be politically correct. They don't care about anyone but themselves. They don't even have the power yet and these powerful white men are going to try and use these lawsuits (if successful) against them in some way. If Tavis Smiley sues PBS for wrongful termination or suspension that is more hurt to the #MeToo movement that these famous women have turned into greed, a grasp for power. Some of the right people have went down, but this lust for power is cancerous to this movement.
 
Some people are attacking Matt Damon for saying some factual and logical things about how we should treat sexual misconduct allegations.

She doesn't want a penis inside her...could have psychological reasons, physical problems with sex or religious(?). Whatever her motivation, she is not forced to have sex but should understand it may be incompatible with her boyfriend's idea of a relationship. Six years is a long time. She must have some other good qualities to make it last that long.

Man are more visual than women that's why they have always made sure they had places to go where they'd satisfy that interest. However there used to be a stark contrast between women who worked in such establishments and the rest of womankind. Nowadays dressing like a stripper/half-naked/extremely provocative or sexualized is being presented as the thing to do even in mainstream society. In my grandmas time if you run around half-naked you will never find a husband. It wasn't encouraged at all.
And honestly, I think we can also choose as women how we want to present ourselves and what message we send to men. I think a lot of those 16 y/o girls who walk around in hotpants and crop top don't get that yet. I'm not saying men have the right to touch what they were not invited to touch just because a woman wears a miniskirt, of course not. I just think that we shouldn't play ignorant. If our dress is very sexy, revealing, sexualised...that's the response we get from men. If we dress ladylike, we get that response from men. There are some idiots who don't get the message but overall it works pretty well. I just don't like it when women doll up and walk around in little bits of nothing on their body and then feel offended when men confuse them with strippers and behave that way with them.
