I can agree with most of that. But, it's also not an either or thing. Yes, their are mfs like the ones you describe. But, I don't think they're the majority and they shouldn't be conflated with those people who are more casual about it. They aren't gooners. They have full and happy lives outside of gaming. Yet, still don't understand why wanting to see idealized female characters in fantasy media is a bad thing. Especially when no one complains, or even desires to see, average looking males heroes. People forget that the majority of gamers are male. And, when creators mute the beauty, of what should be a physically stunning female character, but leave the male characters looking they could take your girl just by posting a picture in the chat, it makes them think wtf?
Prior to current 21st century social indoctrination, mythological & fantasy characters were all described or depicted as "average" looking humans. Idealized depictions of fantasy characters are a modern socially engineered thing. Go back & look through both the centuries and the decades of the 20th century and see how depictions of fantasy characters have evolved based on what the current social standard considered "idealized".
