The Justice League is once again uniting on a common goal, this time releasing the fabled Zack Snyder cut of their 2017 film.

Zack Snyder, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck have taken to social media to request that Warner Bros. release the Snyder cut of “Justice League.” Snyder, who helmed “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman” and was “Justice League’s” original director, had to leave production on the film partway through after his daughter died, with Joss Whedon taking the reins.

The stars of the Justice League movie are spearheading a new call to action for the release of the Snyder Cut. We recap how Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ben Affleck (Batman), and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) all posted on social media for WB to release director Zack Snyder's version of the film from before Joss Whedon was brought on to finish the film with extensive reshoots. We also reveal whether WB actually has plans to release the Snyder Cut, based on a new industry report.

The Expanse Season 4 official trailer and key art is out today.

Synopsis:

The Expanse Season 4, its first season as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series, with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.

I like that it was short. Same with "The Boys." Eight eps and out. I'm tired of these shows that go on and on.

I as well. I just thought Black Summer ended way too early based on what was going down in the season finale. But I'm excited to see how they sort all that went down out in the upcoming season 2.

Nah they're getting a season 2 so it ended on just the right note. 8 eps left you wanting more. Looking forward to it, I liked S1.

HBO Max Instagram Account Likes ReleaseTheSnyderCut Post

There's been a flood of support recently for the release of the Snyder Cut, which is, of course, the much talked about original cut of Justice League from director Zack Snyder. It's been going on for quite a while now, but recently many have come out in support of it, and we even theorized that it should come out and find a home on Warner Bros' upcoming streaming service HBO Max. It seems things are moving in the right direction if you read the tea leaves, or in this case, the follows of Instagram, as the Release the Snyder Cut account noticed a post from them was liked by the official HBO Max Instagram account. That same account is now following Snyder's official account on the service, and if you put those together, well, it certainly is interesting.

"After Warner Brothers now following Zack Snyder on Twitter again, and HBO Max liking my lastest post about it, I’d say we may have actually won this!! All of the noise that everyone in the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement made this past week, following the 2 year anniversary of the Justice League movie, and 2 year crusade for Zack Snyder’s original version, was in fact, the last push in getting @wbpictures to finally release it. I honestly think we did it. I’m expecting an announcement before the year is out. I hope I’m right! ??? @hbomax #ReleaseTheSnyderCut #ZackSnyder"

On the most recent episode of ComicBookNation, the possibility of a Snyder Cut of Justice League showing up on HBO Max came up in conversation. It would be quite the exclusive boon to help draw people to the service, and it's literally exclusive because no one else has access to it.

It would also be far cheaper to do that than release it for a theatrical run, though that could always follow in a special screening type situation if reactions to the cut are good.

Snyder's shared lots of little details, concept art, and storyboards from his original vision for Justice League, which featured not only Darkseid but also time travel, Green Lanterns, and more, so the curiosity appeal is there for the cut. Hopefully, we'll get to see it someday

Making A STAR WARS Film Is Difficult Due To A Lack Of Comics And Novels Says Lucasfilm President

"There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books. We don’t have 800-page novels," replies Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy when asked about the difficulty of making a Star Wars movie.

Almost from the moment of its announcement, longtime Star Wars fans have been decrying the decision by Lucasfilm and Disney to discard the stories of the Expanded Universe- the books and comics from the '80s and '90s that told stories from the Star Wars universe set after the events of The Return of the Jedi.

You can read the original 2014 announcement by CLICKING HERE. The official statement reads, "In order to give maximum creative freedom to the filmmakers and also preserve an element of surprise and discovery for the audience, Star Wars Episodes VII-IX will not tell the same story told in the post-Return of the Jedi Expanded Universe."

Fast forward to 2019 and most Star Wars fans would agree that they would have rather seen the Expanded Universe adapted for film instead of the tale that's unfolded so far in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. While it's possible that J.J. Abrams' The Rise of Skywalker could rectify a lot of the perceived missteps, the damage to the brand will remain and is a large factor in why Star Wars movies are going on hiatus, per Disney co-chairman Bob Iger.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy touched on the difficulties that have been encountered thus far while making Episode VII and VIII and her answer will likely make the Star Wars fandom highly irritable.

"Every one of these movies is a particularly hard nut to crack. There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books. We don’t have 800-page novels. We don’t have anything other than passionate storytellers who get together and talk about what the next iteration might be. We go through a really normal development process that everybody else does. You start by talking to filmmakers who you think exhibit the sensibilities that you’re looking for."

Kennedy went on to add that the development process starts with carefully considering a select number of filmmakers who can deliver on certain sensibilities that Lucasfilm is looking for. From there, it's about navigating the reality that what you may have planned to do might not "work out exactly the way you want."

That's ridiculous of course, but to be fair to her the Expanded Universe stories fans want to see on screen the most are unfilmable.
The EU books are difficult to film, the comics are pretty easy to film. Combining previous work with the legends series should help. As well as dipping a toe in the old republic.

Picking and choosing different elements of legends to incorporate is fine, just as long as they leave the really bad parts of legends were they are, like the fact that the EU introduced about 100 new human Jedis and every last one of them was white.
