The fury of Black Dynamite is legendary and will not be confined to just one or even two feeble mediums! Following recent news that the blaxploitation parody would make the jump from film to comics (courtesy of Ape Entertainment), it was revealed on last Wednesday April 6th that a new Black Dynamite animated series is in the works for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

The story of an ex-CIA agent with vengeance in his heart and uncommonly good luck with women, "Black Dynamite" premiered in limited release in 2009, became an instant success with critics, and has since become a beloved cult home video. Based on the Michael Jai White film, the animated "Black Dynamite" will be Executive Produced by "The Boondocks'" Carl Jones and star much of the live-action film cast in voice-over roles, including White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, Byron Minns, Clifton Powell and JB Smoove.
I would have preferred a better black hero animated series but this does look interesting. I may be saying that because the drawing reminds me of afro samurai. I sure would love to see static shock rebooted!

WOW!!!

Close to 40 pages and over 5000 views ??? I didn't think this thread would actually last past 2 or 3 pages. Thanks to everyone who has contributed posts and popped in for a look. Let's see if this thread can make it to at least another 5000 views.

I'm sorry but I am not feeling jeri as sonya blade. The fighting scenes are also a let down. I like the new jax because of the lack of ... hard to find the word for it but the last jax from mortal kombat didn't exactly have the best dialogue. I'm still waiting for the champ to appear.

I think the fight scenes are a bit rushed due to the time constraints of the episodes since they are being made for the web. If this was a feature length venture they would more than likely be more choreographed and more satisfying. So far I like all of the actors better than the ones that were in the actual feature length MK movies. Better quality actor for this outing also do to the episode time constraints to move the story along and give it some bite IMO.

HBO's Game of Thrones.

If you're not watching this series you're missing out. The first episode was last Sunday and episode two airs tonight. Anyone who has been following the book series as I have knows this is a must watch show.

Ha I made a thread about that the other day, good show.

Okay, I don’t know if this has been done before or not since I don’t have the time nor the patience to be trolling through all the old threads to be sure and if this thread crashes and burns then so be it.

I don’t label myself as a nerd, but I’m man enough to admit I love nerdy stuff, and since I’ve notice that there are other folks here that do as well or indeed call themselves nerds, I thought I’d make a thread that would allow those of us with love of all things considered as nerdy to post up things we love or just interact with members who may share the same love of a particular nerd topic or activity. Since a majority of nerd related things are associated with media I thought this would be the section to put this thread. So anyone with a love for anything in the realm of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Comics/Superheroes, Anime, Role Playing games, Toys, Action Figures, Movie props/posters, whatever you can think of feel free to post and discuss it here.

Wait a second - I thought being a nerd was getting really good grades in school and (back in the day) being a social outcast. getting beat up in the girls' locker room every day:smt089 because of it lol.

This is the only really "N.E.R.D.y" thing I'm into nowadays - don't know why that little guy makes me so hot but ...wooo!!:heart::heart:

Naw. Didn't you get the nerd memo? Nerds have upgraded to somewhat acceptable and cool status. Some folks still hate though..sorry bastards..:D

Finally figured out how to post the video instead of the link (never was that good at html lol - how so not nerdy is that? lol)

Well I'm not into any of that stuff so I guess that label passed me by :smt022

I thought y'all were geaks!

I guess Catholic madonna figurines don't count as "action figures" then?

If you collect tons of them it maybe something others may find of interest. So if you have pictures of them and want to post them fell free to do so in here.

Haha - no I don't have a shitload of them nor pictures of them - thinking of whittling it down to the best ones. Not really a crazy collector of anything except maybe books.

I probably have 500 books but they're all in storage and they have never been all together in one place. Can't wait to get my apartment so I can count - then I'm going to whittle them down to the ones I really like. (Like if a book was good I'll keep it, if it was sucky there's really no point).

How about old photographs? (Like vintage black and white ones...) I probably have 50 or more in real life and 2,000 saved on my laptop. Is that nerdy or just weird. (FYI they are sources for some paintings I will be doing later when I get aforementioned apartment)...
