The "Thank you" thread

does nobody understand the point that I am trying to make?

It took me years to get to this juncture.

I fell in love with black men because of TWO (count them) 2 devoted and unorthodox black men who were sweet and devoted to me.

They were also mentally ill. It was not a purposeful thing that I fell in with these guys - they were engaging, interesting, and attractive - they stood out from the crowd and associated with white society moreso than with black society - they were oddballs, I guess you could say - maybe even outcasts, so I identified with them right away. So you take a handsome black guy that doesn't fit the typical black mold, and pair him with a girl that doesn't really fit into typical southern white society... and you have a match... particularly if both of those people are artistically inclined. One was schizophrenic and one happened to be a hoarder. They were both the most wonderful people you could ever imagine. I would lay down my life for them right now.

After so long with black men, I just grew accustomed to black men. Then learned that black men are just like white men. They can hurt you.

End of story.

LoL,
Dis shit is off the wall.

Ahhhhhhhh now I get it. You're batshit crazy.

What were you expecting? We all bleed the same colored blood, walk, talk, piss, shit, love, hate, etc...

We're just...human. We're not an animalistic fetish for somebody. You act like as though black men are a newfound species of Pokemon.

Well when the two black men that I was with in the first place treated me a lot better, you can understand why I would be attracted or start leaning toward black guys. Then after dating quite a few black guys I realized they (those two) were just really special - and black guys are just as liable to be shitty to me as white guys.

I guess it takes a crazy man to be good to a woman. :-|

All your point are generally fuck up. Damn, my statement must be fucked up :(

I wouldn't say your statement was fucked up. She can't say her point was the same as yours because she obviously doesn't get the meaning of your post any more than she gets why what she said was so inappropriate and offensive.

In other words, it took you a long time to figure out that people are people, regardless of their skin color. Judging a collective based on individual accounts is wholly foolish, though all of us are guilty of it to some degree or another. When the less than 1% physiological make-up tends to override rationale, we often indulge ourselves in this falsehood of social expectations or stereotypes.

And actually, you've been attracting a collective bunch, ranging from the pleasant to the not so pleasant, and that doesn't have a face or color.

I just want to say to all white females (my wife included) thank you. Thank you for the courage that you display in choosing us (black men) as your husbands, boyfriends, and lovers. In a time in which many of you have shown your willingness to look beyond the stereotypes, lies, distortions, and misconceptions to misled your choices, many of you have shown true "profiles in courage" in at least giving us black men a chance. I love all of you.
